Ladies, Gentlemen.

I require your assistance.

A site I have visited in the past has apparently deposited not one but two unwanted programs in my startup bar.

I have tried: deleting it, moving it, uninstalling it, removing it, using dos shell to kill it and am out of options.

In windows I am given the message Make sure the volume is not write-protected or the file is not in use.

Dos struggles to find it and when found manually, the file name contains a tilde and refuses to come into the command line.

When I try to erase I can't.

Please respond.

some things you may have tried, but here it goes->
1) ctrl-alt-del and shutdoen all programs you don' t know
then try to delete those files

2)in DOS you apparently couldn' t delete because filenames were too long. rename those files through windows to be >8 symbols long and try to delete them in DOS thn.

3) delete all signs of those programs through registry
(regedit (soft) recommended)

I duno if this would work, but you can try:confused:

please post the URL of tht site so we all would be aware of it
thnx, Avatar

hmmm, maybe if you go to the windows folder under your hard drive and find it you may be able to delete it that way.
