98 year old Wing walker

This sounds incredible, 98 years old.
A nonagenarian has become the oldest person to perform a wing walk, Guinness World Records said.
Harry Heasman, 98, completed his nine-minute wing walk at Duxford Airfield in Cambridgeshire on Saturday.

Walk? Looks as if they strapped him on and flew round with him a bit. You could do that with a corpse. Suppose the amazing bit is that the experience didn’t kill him.
It looks like the apocryphal story of El Cid being strapped to his horse after death to lead one last heroic charge. :)

But good luck to the guy. Maybe there'll be a rush of attempts to break the record. Possibly beats going to Switzerland! ;)

Yeah, he didn't actually walk, but several times he did raise his arms to apparently demonstrate that he didn't have to cling to the seat. Upside down? I missed that. Still can't find it.

Rough times in your youth are good for you!

He would have walked, but he forgot his zimmer.
I started to wonder later, I had to get a day’s insurance when I parachuted (tandem) out at twelve thousand feet.
What insurers would cover him for what he did at his age, a case of the devil-may-care spirit?

Insurance against what? I can’t see why he would need 3rd party cover, unless I suppose he fell off and crashed through somebody’s greenhouse. And if it killed him, er, he’d be dead.

Extreme sport.
If he landed on or through your roof would you be asking for compensation?
I didn’t really question what it covered at the time I jumped, it was only £25 and part of the jump package so to speak.
My bold below.
You are standing at the open door of a plane, ready for the ultimate high. The wind is rushing past at 120 mph and your heart is pounding with pure excitement. Before you take that breathtaking leap, it is natural to ask, “do I need special insurance for skydiving?” The short answer is that basic insurance is usually mandatory and included in your jump package. In the UK, you cannot legally jump at a British Skydiving affiliated centre without this foundational cover. Skydiving insurance is a specialized cover for high-speed aerial activities that standard policies often exclude. It ensures that every adventurer is protected against the unexpected while they enjoy the adrenaline rush of a lifetime.
This protection is generally split into two main categories. First, there is third-party liability, which covers damage or injury to other people or property. Second, there is personal accident insurance, which is designed to look after you specifically. When you book your experience with highly skilled staff, they ensure the mandatory elements are already in place. This allows you to focus entirely on the intoxicating experience of freefall without worrying about the paperwork.
Funny that, I paid £25 and not £10. Different outfit.
