I read here that somehow www=666 and that if you assign number values to the alphabet, the word "computer" has a numerical value of 666 (I read that here).
Anyway, after joking about this with someone recently, I said, "I wonder if that's true" and made a list: A B C D E F... Z and wrote numbers under them: 1 2 3 4 5 6... 27.
It appears that if A=1, this does not work at all.
C, O, M, P, U, T, E, R = 3, 15, 13, 16, 21, 20, 5, 18
If you add those up, you get 111.
So, if you have to adjust the alphabet so that A does NOT equal 1, obviously, it's pretty stupid and a pathetic attempt at coming to the answer of 666.
Anyone have more info on either of these "coincidental" 666 legends?
