Pretty much. Silicon is often proposed as an alternative to CHONS based life but it's pretty hard to imagine, as Si is just less reactive, It might seem a little boring or unimaginative to suggest that other life might also be CHONS, but hey, maybe they use ammonia as a solvent instead of water...

I'd advise against eating undergrads, except perhaps the well-bred ones reared on only the finest smoked salmon. The rest of them eat the human equivalent of bonemeal and ground brains (ie, dodgy takeaway pizzas) and this consequently affects their taste and texture.
