Imagination outstrips space afterall is the preeminently foldable medium every single cm

Aliens are not in the least improbable, they are out there

How come you appear to be under the impression that Give them about a thousand years of evolution before us maybe they have developed some way of teleporting thru wormholes ?

Me thinks thou has anthropomorphised Mr Bluegreen algae slime mould to much when it has not even figured out it is Mr Bluegreen algae slime mould

I don’t dismiss the possibility that aliens might exist, just that they’re visiting Earth. Maybe because it seems strange that they haven’t communicated with us by now, are have tried to harm us? Even a tiny little bee will sting us if we mess with its hive, so to think that aliens are visiting us left and right, with no interest in communicating or interacting whatsoever, isn’t believable to me. That’s not my only reason, but one of the reasons.

I wouldn't put anything past a highly advanced civilization in what it can achieve in terms of detection of life on other worlds and the means of traveling to them. It's like comparing cavemen to modern men. The evolution of technology makes all sorts of things possible that we couldn't before even conceive of. We're essentially defining aliens by our own standards, which to me is too limiting for them. We have to be prepared for something that seems to us magical or even divine. That's how advanced they may be to us. Reaching some kind of AI singularity/apotheosis may be what is required here.

I’d still wonder why they wouldn’t want to interact or communicate.

    astonishingly, I agree.

It is folly to pretend we can guess either the motives or the capabilities of a hypothetical alien civilization.

Such a civilisation could be a hundred thousand years ahead of us. Does anyone think that, assuming we survive 100,000 years, we won't be a starfaring race?

(But alien civilizations are an unrelated topic.)

Me too. Why the cloak and dagger? Maybe its a little bit of the Prime Directive. But if there's anything to UAPs they've already violated that.

I wouldn't put anything against the stubbornness of physics to resist a advanced civilization technology

    Nope you can't do that

How do you see that looking? One hundred thousand years of humans living in the solar system and not venturing beyond the Oort Cloud?
Where do you think we'll all live?

Most, who are just surviving, on a slum Earth

Maybe if the Moon and Mars colonies have survived and become semi self sufficient a few will live past the last person on Earth

There are physical limits you have to appreciate, though. Such as the speed of light, meaning that radio waves from earth are at most c.127 LY away (1895 being first EM radio wave sent by humans, albeit rather weak, and possibly not detectable - but let's not assume the capability of such by any aliens). Any detectors further away than that will simply not see us as emitting anything, not because of their lack of technical ability, but because of the fundamental principle of EM waves not travelling faster than the speed of light.
If they were detecting signs of pollution as evidence of civilisation then that would only really be evident in the past 50 years or so, again limiting how far away aliens would need to be to detect it. Again, the speed of light is a limiting factor here.
Travelling FTL, sure, whatever floats your boat on that one, but in terms of us being distinct enough to visit in the first instance... that requires observations, which do travel at lightspeed, which limits things somewhat.

Great. Definitely signs of practicalities appearing

This isn't a particularly good analogy is it?

Fair point. Just replace it for the intention: something very unlikely indeed.

Someone from 100,000 years in the future would imo see our physics books as Grimm's fairytales.

So... people will curb their breeding and the population will stabilize - for a hundred thousand years? Have you thought this through?

In the Year 2525 (Exordium & Terminus)
    Song by Zager and Evans

    Lyrics

In the year 2525, if man is still alive
If woman can survive, they may find
    In the year 3535
Ain't gonna need to tell the truth, tell no lie
Everything you think, do and say
Is in the pill you took today
    In the year 4545
You ain't gonna need your teeth, won't need your eyes
You won't find a thing to chew
    Nobody's gonna look at you
    In the year 5555
Your arms hangin' limp at your sides
Your legs got nothin' to do
Some machine's doin' that for you
    In the year 6565
You won't need no husband, won't need no wife
You'll pick your son, pick your daughter too
From the bottom of a long glass tube
    In the year 7510
If God's a coming, He oughta make it by then
Maybe He'll look around Himself and say
Guess it's time for the judgment day
    In the year 8510
God is gonna shake His mighty head
He'll either say I'm pleased where man has been
Or tear it down, and start again
    In the year 9595
I'm kinda wonderin' if man is gonna be alive
He's taken everything this old earth can give
And he ain't put back nothing
Now it's been ten thousand years
Man has cried a billion tears
For what, he never knew, now man's reign is through
But through eternal night, the twinkling of starlight
So very far away, maybe it's only yesterday
In the year 2525, if man is still alive
If woman can survive, they may find
