Has anyone suffered from tinnitus? Able to hear music without sound, have it randomly take on different tempos, stick your fingers in your ears and "hear" it better from background noise? Also have background noise induce it?

Hurt yourself from a seizure, leave the closet open and go to bed and swear an article of clothing is reaching out to get you? Turn on the light and have and have it go away. Go back to bed, have the ceiling light morph into some sort of animal, reach out to get you. Have streamers suddenly appear attached to a picture above your bed and be drawn by some force to the light fixture. Freak out, turn on the light and have it back to normal?

Go to the hospital and in the adjacent cubicle believe a doctor is talking to some animal, like the racoon in Guardians of the Galaxy, hear him say he's like to put a helmet on him and take him for a spin on his motorcycle. Remark that people will eventually find out about the situation anyway.

He, the animal, actually looked like the silhouette of a teddy bear with no legs when he came to the curtain of my cubicle. I told him he wasn't real. He told me to hold out my hand and he blew on them. I looked behind the curtain but saw nothing.

I lay down and a purring badger with the body of a cushion came out from under my pillow. It indicated, by way of manipulating it's body that it was here (in the city I presume) for Google, of which there is outlet. Also make pictures.

When I left the hospital I said I now believe in the multiverse.

    :EDIT:

They also like music. They seem like a bunch of small entities that can coalesce and move objects; like me sitting in a chair a couple inches. One morphed into something of a fruit fly and flew up my sleeve.

There's also two universities, a college and an world renowned institute for theoretical physics where I live. They might have something to do with it.

What would that have to do with it?

I used to live within walking distance to Lake Ontario.

This is the sci-if/fantasy sub-forum, and what you're asking reminds me of the series "Eerie, Indiana".

My wife suffers from terrible tinnitus.

Sometimes, as a demo, she turns up the TV volume until it is sufficient to drown out the ringing, just to show me how loud it gets for her.

For about a year now, I've very occasionally gotten a ringing in my right ear, just before my ear cuts out for 30 seconds. It's not an uncommon thing; I didn't think much of it. Even when I was getting occasional ear aches - I assumed it was an ear infection.

Turns out, I've damaged my jaw from grinding my teeth. The mandible is pushing on my ear canal, causing both the ache and the ringing.

    Not tinnitus but still weird.

I had a window air conditioner in my bedroom that, whenever it was on, I could always hear a radio station playing. It was so convincing that I would frequently turn off the A/C to try to "catch" the radio playing, but never did.

And I don't mean "gee that sounds like a tinny radio" I mean, I could come that close (touches finger and thumb together) to identifying the actual song, or actually hearing what the radio announcers were saying. Very clear, consistent and persistent.

But not tinnitus. just some very convincing auditory pareidolia.

Surprisingly no. Stop putting your fingers in your ears. That might be the problem.

    Is that said in jest?

This all happened within the later part of a day and after I left the hospital it was no more. Don't know if/how the two can be related; like trying to solve a jigsaw puzzle with one tenth of the pieces.

Yes, I was kidding. I was betting that you were kidding, too. If you are serious, I apologize. I once in a great while will hear a low whistle sound in one ear or the other, but it is my understanding that is caused by fluid in the ear.

My fridge, air conditioner etc seemed to be running at intense decibels that only I perceived.

I have a constant ringing in the back of my head, a bit like a circular saw going through plywood, but I only notice it when somebody mentions tinnitus, damn it.

    Then we won't mention tinnitus.

You didn't just take something for motion sickness prior to having these strange sensations?

    Nope.

"Strange sensations" due to some external forces/entities? Were those beings aliens or terrestrial lab creations? Beings from our own universe or a parallel one?

Google is cool if you want to peer into humanity. But if I were an alien, curious about Earth and saw the politics there, I'd think humans are a bunch of fucking morons and want to stay out of sight.

I could conjecture why they were watching me and wanting to expose themselves; it took me a week to the day to ask the question as it was crack but I wanted to write down the event for future reference.

Can anyone cite Roger Penrose' analysis of WMAP data for parallel universes?

Did you let the medical personnel at the hospital what you were experiencing? What did they tell you? If you did not tell them you should let your primary care physician know what you experienced. Good luck!

I said that the entities liked music. In the hospital waiting room they were playing funky music that would make your grand dads brain implode.

I also overheard a conversation a doctor had with one of the entities.

People in the hospital already knew?

How is it that too much information doesn't find itself gushing forth on every medium?

I called a hotline for the proper reasons to call an ambulance.

You really need to discuss this with your family doctor. What you are experiencing is not typical. This could be do to any number of things and your doctor could help sort it out. Please contact your doctor, I like you and I want you to get this figured out!

    ???

No. He's saying what you are describing are hallucinations.

You yourself said: " I told him he wasn't real. He told me to hold out my hand and he blew on them. I looked behind the curtain but saw nothing."

This is something you should get checked by your doctor.
