So we must decide which scripture is good & which practitioners are good & which priorities are good?

I know what God wants because he created everthang that is.!!!

God wants everthang to be exactly as it is because all thangs are Gods creation.!!!

Or do you argue that God created what he didnt want.???

As the rain and hale are falling, a mist is rising obscuring the far side of the valley.

    One man's perspective:

What does GOD, do GODs, need?

The old gods were gathered together for a great feast:
"Then feasted they all day till the setting of the sun, when along came a ragged jew dragging a huge wooden cross. The gods grew silent as he approached their feast, Then as he flung the huge wooden cross upon their feast table, the gods just faded away."
(this is an old story, and, as I have lost the original what i have offered is a reconstruction from the bits and pieces that I hold in my memories)
Memories----As long as we remember those who we have loved and who taught us and share their lessons and retell the stories, though they may be dead, they are not completely gone.
    What does god need?
"Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God."
Perhaps this is symbiotic and reciprocal?
Perhaps, it was not only the smoke of the burned offering of fat, bones. and hide that as it rose to the heavens became the feast of god? Perhaps it was the thoughts and prayers that motivated and were part of the offering that was the real feast(or at least the meat and gravy of the feast) of god.
imho: Perhaps what god needs is your belief and thoughts and prayers. Perhaps that is what sustains GOD and keeps GOD whole.

    What does GOD want?
Long ago and far away in a land not of my birth in a war that was not a war: As I drifted in and out of consciousness, I chanced to ask of GOD if "GOD were truly on our side". What I heard(?)In a female voice was:
"I do so wish that you children would learn how to play well together".

    What does GOD want?
    What is GOD.
The TAO that can be spoken of is not the eternal TAO
The GOD that can be spoken of is not the eternal GOD
It may well be said that GOD, much like Truth is much like a crystal with infinite faces.
If we are lucky and chose wisely, we may be able to look through one or at most a few of these faces/facets and perceive a brief glance of that which we seek.

Do we "know" an answer? Can we "know" an answer?
Is every answer of necessity an individual answer?

Perhaps live sacrifices is what sustains gods. Why else should we have wars in the name of gods?

    We are the sacrifice?

    Apparently.
Seems to me it started with sacrifice of the purest virgins. But maybe that wasn't quite enough and we expanded the ritual into religious wars which has been causal to the death of millions in the most horrendous wars imaginable.

Gotta put on a great show for our gods' pleasures and entertainment.

    Perhaps: You presume too much?

Am I? History seems to support my observation that millions have been killed in the name and for pleasure of one god or another.

I had long ago accepted the concept that there is an infinite difference between me and GOD.
I suspect that that difference in understanding is infinitely times greater than the difference in understanding between an amoebae and myself.
That being said, I suspect that those who would presume to speak for god are most likely either charlatans of insane.

    Thou shalt not kill
    seems simple enough.
Much like the operant clause of the 2nd amendment, there are those who would add more words to embellish or contradict or negate the original.

Thou shalt not kill except with bombs, grenades, landmines, machine guns, poison gas, knives and clubs, etc. etc. etc... .
Everything starting with "except" contradicts the original and can be dismissed as insanity or charlatanism.

Maybe that's an excuse: believe in God because you like killing.

I'm sure this was part of the Inquisition's purpose. Fear!!!
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inquisition

And of course a common defense for doing evil is the claim that "the Devil made me do it".
The Devil is a God, no?

Thou shalt not kill seems simple enough but it then says to kill witches & homosexuals & unruly children & those who work on the Sabbath & women who falsely claim to be virgin when they marry & women who do not cry out for help as they are being raped etc.
Again & again & again, god ordered the Israelites to attack cities & slaughter everyone.

    Matthew 10:34
Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.

I respectfully disagree. People want God to exist. Some people need for God to exist, because they cannot find meaning in life itself, when it is followed by death. So they have created a "special" place where God dwells and you can retire in comfort for eternity.

But only if you never break the 10 things you can never do, because if you do, God will send you to that other "special" place where you will burn and suffer for eternity.

    But He loves you nevertheless.

Well you prove that is not what he wants☺
Well he does exist because the bible is there and the word of God.

    Sorry could not help myself.
The impulse is to poke fun and treat believers as fools when really it is clear they are badly damaged people.
