...hope for me being right?! If you were to correctly predict that I would ever be "right" - you would probably have no "hope" of ever being able to fully count the points for said prediction.

After having many premonitory dreams I began to wonder how this happens. How can I seem to know the future? How can my brain make that up? There have not been that many lately, none about WWIII in any case, but there was one about an internet friend. Can it get any worse? That is the question I keep asking myself, and sure it could. The world hasn't come to an end yet. So maybe that was the mystery of that premonition - just how bad could it get before it got better? It's a bit like the Christians waiting for Christ to return, there was no easily defined time for it to happen. But I haven't given up hope yet. I don't use the word premonitions in the way I think you are. Maybe you could define it. But if it was like, a hunch, test it, see how good hunches are. In your work it might be more a matter of study and making educated guesses, and you might do well at it. I tested out hunches and they were good sometimes, wrong other times, but premonitory dreams are in the too hard to explain basket. I ask the Lord to inspire my dreams, I pray for revelation of the future. Well you know what can be done in faith. Do you try that? For that can be the scary bit for if you get a premonition after that, what will you do about it? Like would you then attempt to alter the future, if you could?
I'm more of a base my assessments of people, situations, etc...as they come. A premonition could be seen as a "sixth sense," as they say. And it could cause ppl to stay away from living life. Overall...I analyze situations as they present themselves. I wonder if sometimes ...premonitions are biased based on a person's worldview. Idk. :shrug: Good discussion point, though.
Yes, You have to operate like that too, day to day, moment by moment. I think some are better at that than myself, I used to get told I "didn't read the situation properly". I think I do sense the situation just like others, but I react to it differently. Boy and Girl tend to get into strife. It has been interesting, but I must complete my tasks, for it the last day of the week here and the last working day of the month.

Any premonition about this? On next 7 September 2013 the International Olympic Committee will elect the host city of the 2020 Summer Olympics. The bidding cities come from two continents, Europe and Asia: Istanbul (Turkey), Madrid (Spain) and Tokyo (Japan). It's only six days till one of the three candidates cities will be elected. I wonder whether someone have a feeling that ? city will host the 2020 Summer Olympics.

So, over all premonitions are more about having a sense or a feeling that something or some event is about to or is going to happen, usually unwelcome. On the contrary, prediction is to know or to foretell what will happen with precision of calculation, knowledge, or shrewd inference from facts or experience. Feelings and senses are associated with premonitions. But the implication of underlying knowledge or expertise is associated with predictions. R1D2, is yours a prediction or a premonition?
Certainly, wild stabs in the dark cannot be prevented or avoided. Anyway, you mentioned in previous posts that you had many premonitory dreams. Maybe that precognition could alert you to the risk to get stabbed.
