I thought this might not be something you might want to stumble upon, so I've put it in a spoiler. It's pretty disturbing. Be warned.

Just heard one of the children say he asked some of the kids to help him carry a box to one of the cabins, called another group of children over to him then opened the box took out a gun and started executing them.

Reporting on TV here that the final death toll is likely to be over 100.

I guess that would have to be in post #2, then?

To which: sure, spidergoat was obviously suggesting Islamic terrorism there, without any support, and it's not unreasonable to regard this as baiting of SAM, given his (and her) histories.

But, what's the implication? Two wrongs make a right? It's okay for SAM to run with nasty Jew-trolling, if she can claim its in response to Muslim-trolling? If so, why are you hassling me? I didn't "start it." My own reactionary trolling should be covered by the same excuse you present for SAM.

The adult approach would be to regard trolling as wrong, as such, and to expect everyone to be adult enough to refrain. Making excuses for SAM infantilizes her, and makes it impossible to meaningfully moderate trolling. Don't be a sucker.

So, again, the implication is that it's okay to be rude to people who you regard as rude? Do the math on that - it absolves me of any duty to be polite to you, SAM, etc. Is that really what you want? Or do you want to put some value on politeness as such?

You can either have principles, or you can make excuses for SAM's misbehavior. You can't do both.

And, for the record: it wouldn't bother me one bit if a consistent application of principled rules wound up biting me as badly as SAM. I'll gladly take some punishment, if it means we won't have to keep tolerating this sort of sewer discourse. I'd consider it a contribution to the forums, actually.

How about you adhere to the rules of this site, and stick to the topic of this thread, which isn't Sam but actually the attacks in Norway? The baiting in this thread [ie post #2] is noted, she then responded as she did to that bait in post #3, whereupon you entered the fray. This will be reviewed. For now, I ask you to please stick to the subject matter.

Now unless Sam is a tall, blonde male killer who it seems singlehandedly placed an explosive device in the capital and then traveled to the island and slaughtered close to 100 children.. which we can be sure that she is not... So please, I ask you again, discuss the topic or go away.

People have a hard time dealing with the fact that the world IS going to become more multicultural. Whether these mutton heads like it or not, it's happening and going to continue happening. Someday we won't have boarders or at least not "nations".

Racists, monotheists and other intolerant ideologies are going to have a hard time coping with it, but, that's just tough titty. Expect more of this sort of thing happening as we move forward.

Fine by me. But I do want to emphasize that you and BillyT took it upon yourselves to dogpile me, and that I was simply responding, there. My own perception was that my response to PsychoTropicPuppy (where I suggested this was more likely the work of right-wing extremists) had pretty much deaded that beef well before you and Billy chose to jump in and reignite the issue.

Sick bastard gunned down a bunch of innocent kids.

He deserves a very slow, humiliating and painful death.

Dude, why do you even bother?

    Quadraphonics

I think, since you've already made your lack of objectivity clear, that you really ought to simply shut the hell up. You're not credible. Your entire theory seems to rest on a presupposition about how someone you hate looks at the world. Stop trolling this thread. It's cheap and disgusting, and you ought to be ashamed of your willingness to treat a world tragedy as an opportunity to dig into a Muslim that you hate.

It is astounding how the usual suspects have been just so silent about this attack after the blame the Muslim(s) game backfired. I guess there is no sport in condemning terrorist attacks if it isn't by an Islamic extremist.

You are right. To use this tragedy to attack a poster they hate was despicable.

Okay, I am going to apologise for rising to the baiting - it was late and I was tired.

Some of the things obvious from the OP - the attack was aimed at government buildings chiefly the Norwegian Labour Party which is both pro-immigrant and liberal and not anti-Muslim [as evinced by their lack of anti-Islam rhetoric]. The Prime Minister's building bore the brunt of the bombing which points to a right wing extremist at work.

Second, the miscreant apparently went on a shooting spree in a nearby youth camp which it turns out, is run by the Labour Party's youth wing.

Death tolls in which the shooting of young people at the camp is predominant, currently run to 80 dead [source]

    Interestingly:

Since the suspect is not a Muslim, neither his religion nor his place of origin are relevant.

I wonder what explanation he is going to give for himself..

I wonder if he used the bomb as a distraction and a way to attack the Government directly before he went and attacked the children and youth at that camp. Knowing the police and all emergency services would have been tied up with the bombs he detonated, he would have had free reign going after those kids for a fairly long period of time.

He had time to not only go around the island shooting everyone he saw, but also had time to stand on the shore and shoot at the children and the teenagers who tried to swim to safety. It is absolutely horrific.

21 years? Surely not? I would imagine he would also be charged with the murders of all he killed, which would hopefully see him rot and die in prison.

Sounds like an obvious hint that it must have been Muslim terrorists, but out of political correctness we can't say so- I surmise this based on your past post history.

Sounds like an obvious hint that this somehow ties into Israel's battle against Palestinian recognition at the UN, or some Israeli with a grudge against the Oslo Accords.

Well, as it turns out, and not at all to my surprise, you were both dead wrong. I really hope at least one of you learns a lesson out of this, but I'm not holding my breath in anticipation.

Will someone please explain to me why quadraphonics is the one being picked on when everything he's said here has been accurate? He didn't say Muslims did it, the worst he did was show how SAM's attempts to draw correlations can just as easily bite her in the butt. I know there's this thing about moderators needing to look mighty, authoritative and infallible, and the political gamesmanship which inevitably follows to cover up when a mod goes eager beaver and steps in their own turd prematurely. But for all the absurd posturing to make quadraphonics into the bad guy, it doesn't jibe with the post numbers correlating to the order in which said posts were written. Am I mistaken? Is it possible for a post labelled #3 to be a response to a post labelled #4?

Thank goodness at least in a real science like math or physics, if you say something stupid which contradicts indisputable reality, you're wrong and no amount of backtracking will change that, regardless of the formal authority you may have been granted for whatever reason.

He is as guilty of responding to my bait to spidergoat as I am of responding to spidergoars bait. If you read the OP there are no Jews or CIA involved. However, I am as free to respond to respond to spidergoat as he is to my aside to spidergoat - anyone who knows me should know that I give people exactly what they want. If people want to discuss the possibility of Islam/Islamic terrorism in any thread regardless of what it is about I am free to introduce any other religion/group as a rebuttal. Note that my response to spidergoat also did not mention any names, because his did not. It was quadrophonics who introduced both the Mossad and the CIA into this thread.

But he didn't add any baseless accusations of his own to the mix, did he? Aside from a little sarcasm directed at your own argument, he didn't make any accusations whatsoever. The worst you can complain is that he didn't address Spidergoat's argument in kind, but he's not obliged to do so in any case. You could have just told Spidergoat he's full of crap but instead you chose the low road, and I don't see why quadraphonics should be the one who ends up taking all the heat.

Lets see spidergoat responded to me and I responded to spidergoat. Spidey did not mention Muslims and I did not mention Jews - we made asides which perhaps only someone following our discussions in other threads would recognise.

Quadrophonics came in and chose to ignore spidergoats response and the OP and instead introduced the Mossad, the CIA and Palestine. So he gets the cookie

And yes, it is a sad fact on our political commentary that people would rather introduce Muslims into any topic rather than pay attention to the tragedy in Oslo. No one is interested in the attack on Oslo because there are no Muslims involved. Maybe Norwegians could find a Muslim to comment on it so people would have some interest in the topic

Your response to Spidergoat was every bit as inappropriate as Spidergoat's own post, the two of you just chose different targets to accuse. By contrast, quadraphonics' response to you was perfectly legit, he didn't accuse anyone until it became clear who was responsible.

What nonsense! He should have focused on the OP instead of derailing the topic even further after spidergoat started making allusions to Islamic terrorism and I countered that with allusions to Zionist terrorism. quadrophonics response was completely and totally a troll post. Even spidey's allusions to Gaddhafi were legitimate since Norway was involved in the bombing of Libya.

Don't forget early parole for "good behaviour", release on grounds of compassion, consideration for social factors beyond the killer's control, blah blah blah... In Canada we have a very tough time keeping dangerous people in a place where they can't continue to do harm, we don't even arrest gangsters when they leave prison and go straight back to hanging out with the same old apes who got them into trouble in the first place. I doubt Norway would be much different, we've got a lot in common.
