I can recommend several. Although I wouldn't watch it if you're a believer in the right of US supremacy.. Anything by John Pilger Especially Stealing a nation, and the war on democracy.. Also, by other authors, The Tank Man- Tiananmen Square rebel The Falling man- 9/11 north tower jumper Outfoxed, by Robert Greenwald The Corporation Generation Kill- A dramatisation of a book about the Iraq war
Iraq for sale: The war profiteers Very well documented by BraveNewFilms. It details the horrible conditions that military and civilian personnel are exposed to every day overseas. It will make you cry.
This is totally fascinating! Check out the OTT dresses. The documentary is by BBC Channel 4 My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=16lMiMcZf4s Highlights some interesting aspects of Gypsy culture, so if you don't know too much about the Romani then check it out. They should actually call the documentary 'my big fat TACKY wedding'
I vote for "Food, Inc" and "The Union". The first provides a look into our food industry and is a must-see. The second is an interesting take on hemp and marijuana. IMO, from an economic standpoint, certain policy changes make "cents".
http://www.infocobuild.com/books-and-films/social-science/the-silk-road.html This is a documentary series, The Silk Road, created in 1980's, exploring historical sites, villages and cultures in China. It's interesting in that we can learn the fact that the West and the East exchanged ideas as well as goods through the Silk Road since long time ago.
King Corn. We and everything we eat are made of corn. Two city guys buy an acre of a corn field and watch it grow, get harvested, processed and consumed by Americans. You learn a lot in this one.
This is a great in-depth documentary examining the origins of the pillars of the world's financial system. There are six one hour episodes so its long but very in depth. I highly recommend it: The Ascent of Money by Professor Niall Ferguson http://topdocumentaryfilms.com/the-ascent-of-money/
8 Must See Documentaries Vol 1 8 Must See Documentaries Vol 2 Lucy~ Let me translate the Zionist Corporate description of the documentary SAM didn't want to watch for you.
I can usually tell if a documentary is worth watching right off if Netflix carries it or not. If the corporatocracy doesn't carry it I automatically want to see it. They still don't carry Zeitgeist One or Two. Number Three is set to be released in Janurary or Feburary, and I'd be surprised if it wasn't the most viewed net documentary of all time.

People this THOROUGHLY outlines why we have the health care reform we do and not the one intended. Please take a look at it and get the facts straight of how, who and why. You'll find that both the Rep and Dems in their own way are responsible but not the ones who decided what for the final product would look like: http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/obamasdeal/view/

We Are Legion: The Story of the Hacktivists 2012 This is a A documentary on the workings and beliefs of the self-described "hacktivist" collective, Anonymous. "Anonymous has been associated with attacks or “raids” on hundreds of targets. Angered by issues as diverse as copyright abuse and police brutality, they’ve taken on child pornographers, the Bay Area Rapid Transit system and even forced a standoff with Mexican drug cartels. They’ve hit corporate targets like Sony, cyber-security firms like HBGary Federal and would-be web controllers like the Church of Scientology. They shut down Mastercard, Visa and Paypal after those groups froze financial transactions to Wikileaks. Along with other hacktivist groups like Telecomix, they’ve launched cyber attacks against foreign governments in support of the Arab Spring. They served as tech support for the Occupy movement and have put their mark on countless uprisings around the world. One participant described their protests as “ultra coordinated motherfuckery.” Here is a link the this documentary: http://www.solarmovie.eu/link/play/1018026/
These are not appealing documentaries. I post them because of sexist things that have recently been posted about woman and girls that are political rather than have any psychology. A girl that was raped A girl that was tied to a bed, forced to wear a diaper and with didn't learn to speak for lack of human interaction. And yes, I'm a B.F. Skinner fan.
