I would believe you except that I have seen "the same shit" posted about Muslims since before I joined and no admin has ever moderated it with the same alacrity, preemptively locking discussions, deleting posts and banning members because it may turn into something worse.. Same for atheists trolling the forums with anti-theist shit.

So, in short, I don't believe you.

SAM we all know you believe what you want to believe, it doesn't matter what anyone tells you or what the truth is for that matter.

The truth to your post... It probably gets skimmed like I do with it, however someone else locks it where I choose just to ignore it. It doesn't entertain me, it doesn't enthral me and it's content doesn't appeal to me, therefore I termed the post/thread "Shit". Since I try to be fair that "One man's rubbish, is another man's treasure" its the main reason it's left open however others likely prefer to see the trash put in the bin correct.

Let me try to express it another way, Sciforums is suppose to be a predominantly Science forum, however we have a number of posts here that are clearly not science. No instead they are aimed at insighting hatred towards this or that group, usually it's one or other poster priming another poster for a flamewar, but in the long run it actually looks from an outsiders view that this site is posted to by a variety of violent psychopaths that just hate everyone because nobody loves them.

Now the moderation tries to be fair, for the most part it allows the posts to spiral out of control on their own. Admittedly we should be on our toes, we should lock every thread that has no scientific basis, however doing so would see a number of the posters dislike the forum they call home because of how tightly run it could become.

So we are left with this limbo, moderating loosely allowing every hater, racist and subsequent moron to post with wreckless abandon or moderating like a Gestapo where free thoughts are not tolerated and any argument about moderation results with a firing squad.

Incidentally the post on "post count" should prove my point.

You can suggest that the more you post the more likely to are to have posts/threads edited, deleted or placed in the Cesspool. It's just the law of averages at play.

I understand that, I had to reach the same decision when I moderated biology. But if I had made an exception for Muslims, with some gobbledegook about tolerating those who post with reckless abandon, would you have considered it an acceptable compromise?

If there were no differences in moderation, I would have no issues. But when even an about the members thread started by me about my threads is cesspooled, isn't it a bit extreme?

It's possible that the thread was cessed just because of the number of threads you've started on the subject. You have to remember SAM that a Moderators job is partially undermined by "information overload". There is only so many threads you can read before your mind just wants to shut off, and then of course you don't see a post or thread for it's colourful euphemisms but see it instead as some plain shade of grey. A sign of it being tiresome, repetitive and exceedingly dull.

If one grey thread looks like the other hundred a user has posted (all seemingly inane rants about this or that religion, this or that race, this or that group), you can be assured that it will likely be treated the same as all the others.

The secret is if they didn't hate everyone, they wouldn't get hated back.

I think I cesspooled it because SAM decided to have another go at her antisemitic post about Jews collaborating with the Nazis.

It was antisemitic of them to collaborate with the Nazis, but I still don't see why the thread was cesspooled, especially you seem uncertain about why you did it. Is it like an automatic unconscious act?

I'm just trying to recall which particular thread it was among the hundreds you post on the same topic.

    SAM:

While you are the centre of your universe, you are far from being the centre of mine. As an administrator I moderate many threads, posts and members every day. Only a fraction of my moderation actions relate to you, and I do not take special note of those actions as distinct from my actions regarding other posters.

I can not understand why people can say anything about Christinians, Muslims, Hindus, buddhists........etc but when it comes to the word " Jews " everything changes quickly . Surely there must be a reason behind this aspect . Yes and yes I agree 100% that racism, bigotry, bashing are wrong but let us be fair to all people and not just to some people .

With your posted record of antisemitism, it's not surprising that you find it difficult to understand why racism directed against Jews might be unacceptable. I'll take what you have to say on the topic with a large grain of salt.
