Can you tell more about a person by the threads they post in?.

Rather than the content they say about themselves, I never really thought about it before reading "the real deal" thread just now. I just assumed everybody was who they said they were and lived the life they said they lived.

But now it's making me wonder if all of the members are who they say they are, do we have imposters among the ranks?.

Can we tell more about a poster by examinine the type of threads they read/post in, rather than reading the content they write?.

I'd say maybe. How about an avatar or the little witty saying that's underneath it? It could start right there or even more so by a person's username. A username should be the first clue. Do people follow through after that.

An amateur psychoanalysis is required.

Take Draqon for instance. Although dragon is not spelled correctly, the image does not suit his posting personality. The misspell may be intentional because he knows he's really not the spitfire a dragon symbolizes. But a misspell may invalidate his supposed age or education. In reality he sounds like a prepubescent kid, timid and want of nerve. I think he is totally intimidated by the opposite sex and thus in need of a confidence boost. Perhaps he gets it here.

I think it would tell you more looking at the Cesspool forum. See how many they get moved there or how many they get locked.

I think lies have obviously been said by many people aboout various things, Like for exmple I said I was going to walk the great wall of china over the space of three/four months ages ago, I said I would be going in a year or so. I did not go and walk the great wall, so I lied on that occasion nd mybe some others.

Im still going to do it (hopefully) but I didn't nd I said I 100% am going to. But I don''t think anybody is making a complete lie about everything nd acting completely out of character. Could you relly discuss all of these subjects and not say what you really thought was true?.

Name some people who you think are complete shams, I wil tell you if I think they are aswell, maybe I just can't remember the people who are or I have not considered it yet.

Oh yeah, I talk completely different to how I type, I sound like an emotionless robot when I type. In real life I use alot of slang that you guys would not understand. I also do not say things like "I also do not say things like that" I would say "I don't say things like that" I would not say "do not" I would say "don't".

My typing does not resemble my talking at all.

Personally, what I say here is the truth and my smart ass, sarcastic, joking manner is me too. People either like me or don't. I am not going to try and impress anybody. I have been accused of being a racist, homophobe etc. I speak from my heart and how I really feel about things. I am not going to try and pretend to be this completely openminded person who agrees with everything and everyway of life because then I would be lying.

I think some members here are NOT COMPLETE shams, but maybe part shams.

I do believe you are now more content then you were in your younger years. I think the teenage years and possibly early adulthood were not the best of times. Maybe you hated the world or the hand you were dealt.

How so? You call yourself "shorty". Years ago you probably detested either that name or the fact that you are shorter than average. You were more than likely self conscious of your physical shortcomings(no pun intended). As a result you may have even suffered through a bout of depression. Fortunately we grow older and time, being the healer that it is, has enabled you to look back at those years now in a different light. With middle age here (evidenced by #37), and I believe a youngster to raise, you have gained the wisdom necessary to overcome all those things that used to bother you when you were young. You are happy but I sense you want to be even more happier.

So what does that make you now? A middle aged woman who has discovered herself at last. You enjoy being older and are very proud to be a grown woman and of your own sexuality(I won't say why, I'll just keep it a secret). I believe you are a truthful person and feel much empathy towards those who suffer 'the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune'.

Your username is a redundant play on words, over emphasizing your apparent view of your own smarts or lack of. For some reason you are downplaying your intelligence with visceral and by adding instinct you've tried to eliminate it. It does suggest that you are not very self assertive and suffer from low self esteem.

However the username, or the actual play on words, does not support this hypothesis. Plays on words show a much deeper intelligence. You have just graduated to the mysterious. Perhaps in your home situation you do not get a chance to let your brain shine and someone you love or respect is intimidated by it. You're smart enough to realize this and to maintain a balance at home you keep it repressed or at least minimized.

By no means are you instinctive. It took a little research and the elimination of other possibilities to finally settle on that particular username. IOW you had to think about it and you had to be certain..

So does that make you someone trustworthy on the forum? Unfortunately I don't know the real truth but my first impression when I saw your username was no, because there is no way that username was instinctive. Calculated yes, instinctive no. Now I will tell you what you were right about. The teenage yrs were a bit rough, and I moved out at 17. I have been very responsible all my life and living on my own for so many yrs, more so then others were.
I am ok with how short I am , but definitely wouldn't mind if I was taller. I don't mind being called shorty, because anybody that called me that wasn't saying it to be mean. I am pretty happy now you are right. We could always be happier though, but my winning lottery numbers haven't come up yet. As far as my age goes, I am happy where I am in life.
I like being a mom and I think I was always meant to be one. I can't lie and say I love physically getting older, who does? But that is what hair color is for...lol

As SAM has tried to put me down in the above post, I went to work full time and dropped out of school in grade 11. It hasn't held me back from doing exactly what I wanted in life. I started 2 of my own businesses and both a success. So I can see why I would be so self conscious about that..

She probably moved because she got married at 17 to a drunk who probably beat her like her adopted mother did. After she divorced him she found a younger man who won't say boo to a goose. And she photographs herself at weird angles with shaded light to look younger than her 38 almost 39 years [after wearing makeup].
