I spoke to an 11 year old today. He asked me questions about a machine that had been built a million years ago and had created the earth and everything else.

Of course I knew immediately what he was talking about.

Yes, well... we are not talking about an immediate destruction. We are talking about something that is gradual. Something which happens well above our lifetimes.

If it does happen, then we are basically fucked. Nada, the big goose egg for any hope. Does this make you feel happier about what you proclaim? Are ou so confident, that you would risk such a large vendetta for life as we know it?

If you do, you are no wiser than the scientists who do meddle with forces that have not been witnessed since the early period of the universe.

We will and can never, reach the magnitude of big bang, but it is said, that after big bang, possibly a few chronons ( i would do the calculations - just can't be bothered), that these energies are more than compatible for the production of a primordial being.

If this is too hard to believe, then you are lost. If it doesn't happen for real, then you can remain ignorant to its possibilities.

I'm glad you found somewhere where you can spout your nonsense.

Tell, me... ben... how obvious is a scientist, that flouts their substantial events so that they can learn more on the cause of possible disaster? Is this science at its best?

    Calculate?

Seriously, Reiku, from what you've shown us here, you couldn't calculate the distance between where you are sitting and the nearest bus stop with a margin on error of less than 10%.

Why don’t you just shut your sewage of a mouth, that way, I could distance how far it is from your brain to normal senses. It’s possibly a ratio of 1 to an infinity, a distance equivalent to an intelligence, to that of hill-billies.

I have certainly more education behind me than what you do and more possibly than what you can hope for. So go hit those streets, and sell your ass.... don't do it less though, than 50 pounds. Any less, and you might be called a slut. You know?

Besides, i have noticed, even if others have not, that yo fly around ben and alphanumeric. Are you possibly having some sad hope that by doing so, you will credit yourself more?

    Whatever.

Keep dreaming my friend. You are about as sad, as my 80 year grandfather who pisses his own pants. How about that for an analogy?

I had not noticed this thread before but have been active at Paul Dixon's thread, mainly to politely tell him his fear of break thru to DeSitter space is "nuts."
Three proofs of that are briefly summarized at:

    http://www.sciforums.com/showpost.php?p=2003401&postcount=1606

But my low probability concern* is also stated at above link, beginning about half way down.
Please visit (I am avoiding double posting) and if you can, tell why that "remotely possible disaster" is also of no concern.

    ---------------------------
*Posts 1580 and 1566 of Paul's thread give more details, including in 1566's footnote how I think the probability that a stable tiny black hole becoming negatively charged can be estimated. If so charged, then the gravitational interaction with nuclei (only one considered in the "Safety Report") is unimportant compared to the much strong electrical interaction, which the Safety Report ignores.

Thanks in advance for your comments.

PS, if you think others here want my concern posted here: Please just quote it starting with the line: "Namely that the safety report did not even consider:" to the end.

Note: As Reiku is trashing the thread, I have moved this post around many of his rapid-fire, incoherent posts and deleleted it from the earlier location.

Oh billy, you are a good guy.

But no man, as good as yourself, has a complete conscience about the events which happened today... even if they are not destructive of the earth, they are still a shameful act of mankind alone.

I see nothing inherantly wrong with playing particle-pool, but the LHC scenario does smack of being some kind of sophisticated ouija board or even astrology cards. It deals with the metaphysical yet assumes that God does not exist. Risky in itself.

Risky, is when we deal with situations k=not known for its level of unpredictability, For this very reason, i am away to sleep now.

As Dr Dixon says,..... may God have mercy, on our souls.

You really are a foul-mouthed little twerp, aren't you? You throw vulgar stuff around like it's the only thing you know how to do. The chances are pretty big that I've done far more in my life than you can ever hope to accomplish with all your petty little hang-ups. I'd go into when I made my first million (it was long ago) but that would be sinking to your pathetic level.

So go right ahead and spout your drivel because very, VERY few here care what you say anyway. Hmmm... and now that I've thought about that for just a moment, it's actually safe to say that there's practically no one here who cares.

Fouled mouthed... you're lucky you don't meet me in the flesh.

Now... what was that you said a few days ago... i was nothing but a dumb parrot.... oh yes... that was it, wasn't it.

Why don't you take you hypocritical ass back to home. The only place your momma will kiss it better.

    Ok?

You really are a pathological liar, aren’t you? All this education that you’re supposedly undertaking, and yet (in another thread) you were incapable of posting even a simple homework question to verify what you are currently studying.

There is one way you could be working at a university….
