Washington Mutual. Stay away from Bank of America, they are a business bank and have draconian practices for individual accounts.
Check all the fine print, etc. 'cause "free checking" ain't always free! If you don't do your own research before you decide, you have no one to blame but yourself. Baron Max
Do not tell him, this may well be a plot to acquire your banking information! I am doubtful of this fellow!
i only use my bank account when i need to pay for things online, otherwise i keep it all it money and assets.
Atlanta Post Credit Union. Basically, I let those bastard mailmen watch my money for some good rates.
maybe in the city, but out here where i live its far better to have either cash or something to trade(beer and weed are alomost a second currency). theres only one ATM in my district so a card is pretty useless.
National Westminister (Natwest) - shitty service guaranteed. If you need to verify any information, they usually get you to come in, lose the information or somehow make their computer system refuse it and ask you to come in again. A professional wind-up merchant would screw you round less than Natwest. Also, Lloyds TSB. Despite the fact I've told them three times on three separate occasions, they keep offering me a wonderful benefits package for only £20 a month for my account with about £0.40 in it. Marvellous. I buy a lot off the internet, so need some kind of plastic really.
Washington Mutual is the best bank I've ever used. I have a checking account there. If you ever have the opportunity to open an account with M&T Bank, don't do it. They have the shittiest service, and they have weird restrictions that I've never seen at other banks. Just stay away from them. I still have an account there that I should close before they find another way to screw me.
You can go anywhere in the world and find an HSBC atm. I recommend Bank of America in the U.S. Abbey National in UK. But I think you need not worry about banks, securities and trading companies are more variable in their policies.
