It's pretty pathetic when you steal from friends. I don't believe Klepto is a disease. It should be called the "I'm stupid and craving attention from people for being sneaky and cool syndrome". The term kleptomaniac is an excuse to do what they do.

Yeah who needs friends like that. I'm kinda going through the same thing right now. I'm thinking of making this person an "ex-best friend" as well. Grrr

my advice to anyone that has a freind that steal off of them is: get rid of them, if they do it once, they would do it again.

some people do it as a challenge to themselves, with high risks, if they could really do it.

according to islamic laws, stealing deserves chopping of hands.

yes, quite. but i do believe, and will be corrected, it is just down to terminology. poor people can be a kleptomaniac too, but it is not so obvious, its as if they have an excuse to steal because they are not rich.

i watched a show, where they followed this begger guy aroiund own with his little cup for change, and his ragged clothes, collecting money all day, then in the after noon, he took his big garbage bag into a port-a-potty, changed his clothes, and left in his brand new black suburban. I guess the guy made about 20 or so dollars per hour as a beggar, and that was all he did, and he got quite a bit of money doing it.

I understand. I once broke into the pentagon and stole the nuclear launch codes for 85 percent of North American missile silos. The encryption was tough, but hey, I had the time. Anyway, I returned them and there were no hard feelings. Since then I have not stolen anything.........
