which do you use and why
I use Opera 6.0
it's the fastest, I can customize it better, v6.0 now has java, javaskript and flash player.
changed from IE 6.0 to OPERA 3 days ago. I would have done it faster , but the prvious version was awful, so I didn't even want to try, but because I tested webpages I needed as much browsers as I could get. While testing I saw how good new OPERA was.
cheers!

I think I used IE5, but at one point I had a 'Dune' Browser, which had all these cooky colors and intstead of the windows insignia swirling around in the upper right hand corner there was the image of the giant sandworm from the scifi miniseries diving into the desert. It was cooooool:D

I think there is a way of editing the corner animation for all internet explorer browsers

I use IE 5.1 because I am used to the interface, and it is very functional. Very compatible (as the guy above mentioned, designed by microsoft - of course nowdays this can't be a good thing, but the company has more money than jay leno and most web sites are designed to run with IE)
Versions of 5 up to 5.5, do not have the security holes and spyware of 6x
I don't really plan on switching.

I personally use Mozilla 1.0. Why? I see too many problems with IE that's bundled with XP. I read on ./ too much about holes in IE's security. The last one that ticked me off to finally switch to Mozilla? The hole where if you log into gopher sites, someone can log in as the admin on your machine. Besides, I always support the underdog. Even though it took 4 years to complete a final version of Mozilla. Whoop-e.

I'm in need of an intelligence fix ... If I'm running AOL I believe that I use IE by default ... or is the browser actually embedded in AOL? Can I run a different browser?
Thx
At first I used Netscape, but after AOL took them over it turned to shite. Very dodgy, bloated pieces of crap.
I switched to Opera. Then it started crashing constantly. This may be because MS tends to make their systems so software from other comapneis runs like shite.
Early versions of IE shat me up the wall (annoyed me). This recent one I am using crashes a lot, but generally is quite good. I may go back to Opera, see how their browser works now.
