hey all,

I was looking for one of those things that holds the cord in place when they come out of packages, but I don't know what they are called.

I am talking about the think that is circled, where the cord exits the case, that sort of holder of the cord there.

anyone know what I am talking about? =]

if you know what its called, that would be great.

It's a flexible strain-relief boot and bushing.

Look here:
Cord Strain Relief (http://www.molded-cables.com/wire-strain-relief.html)

googleing *gland grommet wire* give this:

which seems correct, but there are so few results, I don't think that is their normal name.

Well, us lowly etechs always call them strain reliefs. The one pictured appears to be molded integral to the cord. If your looking for a replacement you should probably look for "replacement power cords" or some such.
