    yah.. i know that.. i mean, m doing a theoritical background about mySQL and MS SQL..and i don't knw what to put on it... can u help me?

    I'm sure Google can tell you alot. I doubt that people on this forum feel like writing a background for SQL and make your homework.

    SQL=Structured Query Language. This might help you with your search. I'm sure www.webopedia.com has some information on SQL too. Good luck.

    Both use similar SQL syntax, and both handle most of the same features. For 90% of personal or small-buisness use, MySQL will be more than enough. And it's free!

    MS SQL has better built-in client tools, and has a somewhat more robust supported SQL language (including one new nifty feature; temp tables as local memory datatypes!!), but it costs money, and doesn't provide a huge amount of advantages over MySQL IME.
