anyone here play true combat elite? I have loads of newer games I bought but still find myself drawn to quick games on TCE. It's based on rtcw (return to castle wolfenstein) mod enemy territory. Since ET is free and stand alone now (has been for a while) you don't need rtcw to play like you used to.

First put et client in, then patch it, then tce mod, then patch it (just replace content of tce folder, it's a universal cross platform patch. Just a zip that you replace old files with, very small).

yeah completely. ET was a mod for rtcw so originally you had to have that in but now you don't need it as et is stand alone. TCE is modern team based fps, looks much better than et and rtcw and other older q3 engine games too. There is a lot of custom content avail to. If you allow auto download mods from menu then it auto downloads from the server when you join a game so there is no hunting around.

I mainly play bodycount mode on whitesharks server.
