Today, new programming languages and compilers have so much security and safety precautions that what you can code is starting to become a lot less - and what you end up with is often not what you had in mind because of all the the things your compiler won't allow you to do.
The people who make these things, of course, do it to prevent hackers from making bad code. In my oppinion, they shouldn't do this. A programming language should let you do whatever you want, not restrict you. Even hackers should be able to all they want - it is their choice and they have to suffer the consequences - but it is just another thing people like to do and they should be able to do their programming the same as anyone else.

You just have to note that the programming languages in question run an agent similar to the Word Paperclip, as soon as "It looks like your writing a trojan..." It stops you writing (Okay it's not quite that tight with the code, but it's the best way of explaining it)

As with the Paperclip, you can actually turn off the agent, however it does mean you might lack any autocorrections in code based upon turning the agent off.

(I still laugh at how Colleges turn off how to make Binaries from your scripts, but you can still run the scripts through the languages Interpreter, which means you can pretty much do anything a binary can do)

Actually you have a point Zion, the poll itself isn't worth the effort we all know Microsoft suck in some areas. I'm going to close the thread due to the poll, perhaps I'll put that they "suck in some areas" in the FAQ
