The information that is usually sent to servers is the Browser client and IP, however it doesn't identify a persons number. A person couldn't just call you from your IP without of course having contacts within the network itself.

There might however be ways of snooping a persons browsing IF they have left BLUETOOTH ENABLED. It's usually referred to as "bluejacking" and requires various pieces of equipment that you can pickup from various stores.

However there is also something I found while hunting around (I didn't find an exposed phone number, but I thought I would look to see if I could trace where the problem orginated). Over at mocospace.com it's possible to Message a member there as long as you supply a number. Now I'm guessing the number is so they know who to respond to, I'm not sure if there is any "received message" responses from sending someone a message, but it would make be ask the question if the person that phoned actually SMS'd first.

Since the phone number is never revealed while surfing, the only places that it might be placed is for instance in certain websites which have been signed up to with a mobile number. Considering that mocospace.com allows the sending of messages, it can be suggested that they obviously have the phone number.

What could be asked is if any messages sent within mocospace to people potentially have a phone number revealed? I know this use to be done when using online SMS messaging, you'd type your message and require to put a phone number that would be used for responses to stop anonymous spam abuse.

This basically means one of the following:

She Gave someone the number
She Messaged someone from an online site that revealed her number
She received a message on her mobile that she responded to.
She Has written her number on a computer that has a trojan

So I told her, the reason I talk about dumb subjects is that so I know everyone understands them. "I'm pretty sure if I started a debate about consumption taxes, you may get lost. Do you even know what consumption taxes is?"

Then she said mean stuff and we didn't talk anymore after.
