    Hold On Tight

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8TLmpL2AzLs

Hold on tight to your dream
Hold on tight to your dream
When you see your ship go sailing
When you feel your heart is breaking
    Hold tight to your dream.

Its a long time to be gone
Time just rolls on and on
When you need a shoulder to cry on
When you get so sick of trying
Just hold tight to your dream

    Chorus:
When you get so down that you cant get up
And you want so much but youre all out of luck
When youre so downhearted and misunderstood
Just over & over & over you could

    Accroches-toi a ton reve
    Accroches-toi a ton reve
Quand tu vois ton bateau partir
Quand tu sents -- ton coeur se briser
    Accroches-toi a ton reve.

    Repeat chorus:

Hold on tight to your dream
Hold on tight to your dream
When you see the shadows falling
When you hear that cold wind calling
Hold on tight to your dream.

    Oh, yeah
Hold on tight to your dream
    Yeah, hold on tight...
    To your dream.

    AND

    The Moody Blues ~ Question

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0nEJ-8OMQtc&feature=related

    Question"

Why do we never get an answer
When we're knocking at the door?
    With a thousand million questions
About hate and death and war.

It's where we stop and look around us
There is nothing that we need.
    In a world of persecution
That is burning in it's greed.

Why do we never get an answer
When we're knocking at the door?
Because the truth is hard to swallow
That's what the wall of love is for.

It's not the way that you say it
When you do those things to me.
It's more the way that you mean it
When you tell me what will be.

And when you stop and think about it
    You won't believe it's true.
That all the love you've been giving
Has all been meant for you.

I'm looking for someone to change my life.
I'm looking for a miracle in my life.
And if you could see what it's done to me
To lose the the love I knew
    Could safely lead me through.

Between the silence of the mountains
And the crashing of the sea
There lies a land I once lived in
And she's waiting there for me.

But in the grey of the morning
    My mind becomes confused
Between the dead and the sleeping
And the road that I must choose.

I'm looking for someone to change my life.
I'm looking for a miracle in my life.
And if you could see what it's done to me
To lose the the love I knew
    Could safely lead me to
The land that I once knew.
To learn as we grow old
    The secrets of our souls.

It's not the way that you say it
When you do those things to me.
It's more the way you really mean it
When you tell me what will be.

Why do we never get an answer
When we're knocking at the door?
    With a thousand million questions
About hate and death and war.

It's where we stop and look around us
There is nothing that we need.
    In a world of persecution
That is burning in it's greed.

Why do we never get an answer
When we're knocking at the door?

    longview by green day:

Sit around and watch the tube, but nothing's on
Change the channels for an hour or two
Twiddle my thumbs just for a bit
I'm sick of all the same old shit
In a house with unlocked doors
    And I'm fucking lazy

Bite my lip and close my eyes
    Take me away to paradise
I'm so damn bored I'm going BLIND!!!
    And I smell like shit

Peel me off this velcro seat and get me moving
I sure as hell can't do it by myself
I'm feeling like a DOG IN HEAT
Barred indoors from the summer street
I locked the door to MY OWN CELL
    And I lost the key

Bite my lip and close my eyes
    Take me away to paradise
I'm so damn bored I'm going BLIND!!!
    And I smell like shit

    I GOT NO MOTIVATION
    WHERE IS MY MOTIVATION
    NO TIME FOR THE MOTIVATION
    SMOKING MY INSPIRATION

Sit around and watch the phone, but no one's calling
Call me pathetic, call me WHAT YOU WILL
My mother says to get a job
But she don't like the one SHE'S got
    When masturbation's lost its fun
    You're fucking lazy

Bite my lip and close my eyes
    Take me away to paradise
    I'm so damn BORED
    I'm going blind
    And loneliness has to suffice
Bite my lip and close my eyes
I was slipping away to paradise
Some say,"Quit or I'll go BLIND."
    But it's just a myth

    Visceral Bleeding - Fury Unleashed

Time to free my mind fury unleashed

Been locked up two thirds of my life for reasons way to extreme to disclose
And now being released this can?t be right, I?m not too well

Morbid acceleration fuels my senses against my will
I can?t believe I?m out from my only home were I?ve been retrieving a clear and healthy mentality without success

I rap my head in dirty bandages, world can?t see my deformed mug
    I pick by random motives

The first I beat so bad but won?t let her pass out, I watch, she?s blind with blue and swollen eyes, I stare, observe as she crawls for the door, her bumping into things arouse my twisted mind and makes me laugh?
Then crushing her skull? fury unleashed

I?m - Eager to find another one a male this time would be more challenge
Lore him with me to a deserted playground time to play
As he turns his back on me I rock the swing and let it smash the back of his head
He falls helpless dizzy as I take out my blunt pocketknife

Turning ? Flip him over grabbing his mouth hold it open
Stabbing ? Stick it in and stab his palate multiple times
Screaming ? I slice the tongue in two and watch the pieces playing
    Leave him bleeding?.

Morbid acceleration fuels my senses against my will
I can?t believe I?m out from my only home were I?ve been retrieving a clear and healthy mentality without success

I will make myself the last victim for I feel I have earned that privilege
Time for pain so I?ll use help from broken engine parts

Sharp rusty iron I scrape, all over my body and watch the blood cover me
The pain is so rewarding but it doesn?t seem to kill me

    Carving - Scraping ? Screaming - I lie bleeding?.

Time, to free my self before I leave this earth
I grab, my knife and then get down to work
I puncture my body with several holes
The taste of blood in my mouth as I die brings me to smile

    Dead at last I am

Ok, I'm not suicidal and I don't attack people....still, that song just goes so well with my life force.

Lol, I know. But I like it mainly for the guitar work, not the lyrics. Though that bit where he growls 'Mor-bid ac-cel-ler-ration fuels my senses against my will' really gets my adrenalin going and makes me crave a wall of death.

    Dance your cares away.
    Worry's for another day.
    Let the music play,
    Down at Fraggle Rock.

I never knew until I looked it up on Wikipedia that the Fraggle Rock theme song was a big Top Forty hit in England.
Hmm. I thought it had lost its spirit by then. I loved the country music of the 1950s. In my family it was not permitted to ever speak of feelings. Then I stumbled onto a country music station and they were singing about all this taboo stuff.
The original Engelbert Humperdinck was a German composer of the late 19th and early 20th century, best known for his opera "Hänsel und Gretel." The British pop singer took the name because it was an improvement over Arnold George Dorsey.
That music is surprisingly accessible to Western ears. I can't identify the language, but the music sounds like it could be anything from Indian to Turkish.

Still, you're supposed to tell us about a song that describes you, and none of us can understand these lyrics. So you're gonna have to translate some of it for us and explain how it applies to you.

The song is from Ustad Amanat Ali Khan, who was a great singer from Patiala Gharana school.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amanat_Ali_Khan

I can translate the song, but it will be not make any sense if you don't understand Persian/urdu poetry. I will try to find a translation online.

Song title means 'Come my love's fragrance.' Deals with love of God.

I'm from Western Punjab. I like the poetry of Patiala gharana school, it is very rich and full of sorrow and longing. I'm a big fan of Ustad Amanat Ali Khan and his son Shafqat Amanat Ali.

I also like Abida Perveen, she is awesome. Along with many other singers such as Qawwali of Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, songs of Ghulam Ali, Mehdi Hassan, Lata Jee, and others.

At first I couldnt tell if she was a man or a women. I thought she might be a man with some feminine gestures because she had no head covering.

    The Queen of Sufi music.

Is that all devotional music...in the religious sense?

    Sufi music is about love

Dhoondo ge agar mulko mulko, milke nahin nayaab hai hum

If you search the world, you won't find [one like me], I am unique.

    Oh, how ironic.

No, that album was fucking brilliant. But no one would ever admit that.

    Be a good boy
    Try a little harder
    You've got to measure up
    And make me prouder
