Guess I'm liberal...not sure. Each party changes it's approach so many times it's hard to keep up.

Democrat, socialist, communist, and fascist are nothing but variations on a theme. That theme is statism.

It is a nice example of how much freedom of thought there is in the US though. You only are allowed to be liberal or conservative or something in between.

Hell and damnation if you happen to be a socialist, communists, christian democrat or anything. Because you don't fit in the uniform picture.

I lean to the liberal side of the spectrum. I also am conservative in some ways. I think I am overall more of a liberal, but I also have some communist ideals (yes, I think a communist democracy is a good idea).

If you were to throw out all of my political beliefs onto a table and put them together into a puzzle, there is no combination that would ever come up either liberal or conservative. For now, I'm voting Libertarian.

    chunkylover58,

You would have a better time wasting your vote by using your ballot as toilet paper. Unfortunately as the system goes there are only 2 candidates with any chance of winning, if a third party were to take some percentage of the electorate it would suck votes away from the ideologically similar major party, resulting in all power going to the least similar party, in fact by these means a small minority of the nation could maintain control, because the majority would be divided among several parties, so the largest minority becomes the winner. Such as in the last election were 51% voted for Gore, 5% for nader, if Gore had got the 5% he would have most likely got enough electorates to win, no matter if bush did or did not cheat with Florida. But now bother the democrats and greenies have to watch, as their country is rule by the republicans.

I refuse to waste my vote on someone whom I do not want to be in office. That, to me, is more of a waste than voting for what you believe in, despite the fact that what you believe in has no chance of winning. The past several elections I have voted for the one I believed to be the lesser of two evils because "You're just wasting your vote if you don't vote for one of the two major parties." Bullshit! I'm making my statement.

Until more people start to think this way, we will be stuck in the 2 party mentality and nothing will ever get done because no one will really ever have much of a choice. Why is it that a dictatorship (ONE choice) is so horrible, but more than 2 is silly? That's insane.
