I was curious as to what the members here prefer for a pet more than any other animal. To that end I've created a basic poll for anyone interested in participating. I'd ask that once you make your selection you post a short paragraph as to why you like the chosen animal. List any traits you feel make that species a more fun pet / companion.
Dogs, because they're loyal and caring animals. Unlike cats. They can protect you, guard your house, fetch things for you and they have a calming effect when you stroke them.
Cats can be calming, mostly because when you pet them you know you've earned their approval. And than they can bark at you all the time you are anywhere close to them...and I mean angry barking...like grrrrrr and such....and than they can like totally smell like dirt and such...disgusting. ............................................................................................But cats...they are angelic creatures sent to us from heaven. Hamsters are good pets to have, but I voted cats. They are easy to look after and fun. But 2 cats are better than 1. We have 2 and watching them play fight is so funny.
