My chance to brag about my favourite Sci moment before it closes for good.

And I think I don't offend anybody ( apart from Varda's husband ) but he was away on business and, you know, what happens on SCi stays on Sci..

So, my fav. moment? A self indulgent one. MacGyver's pants party, it was great especially the bit where Varda and I tried to mimic Cicada "music" by rapidly rubbing our wsahboard abs together ( Whilst Gustav made more margaritas.)

But my worst would have to be when that particular thread was trolled to such an extent, it was finally barred.

Another of my favorite moments...the "Sam Spade" detective story thread....had IMHO, the funniest line I've read on the board by Geoff: "Like a midget at a urinal, I knew I needed to be on my toes the whole time" ...or something like that.

 

the moderation in this place is gettind really ridiculous

 

my best moment was during my thread about minor nations in ww2 and when read-only told me i was making mountains out of molehills he was ignored and the thread moved forward.

 

Yep ... I recall a entertaining and heated discourse between Tiassa and Wes Morris where the C word was used about a 1000 times and the thread was not deleted or either member banned. This used to be a MAGIC board for individual FREE and BOUNDLESS expression, now its become just another board...
