Do you mean Autoplay? If you put in a DVD it automatically opens a dvd player software? That sort of thing?

Right click the drive in My Computer. Go to the Autoplay tab. Set your settings.

uh no, i mean when i put a cd in no matter what it is this dialog opens and says what do you want to do and lists all kinds of apps. that might be used.
but i'll check out your idea.

    edit:
    your idea didn't work.
now when i pop in a cd explorer opens and displays what's on the cd.

That's what I was talking about.
What you'd want to do is select "Take no action" for each of the media types.

Or, alternatively, you could configure it so that it automatically opens your media player app for each type of media without needing to be prompted to do so.

You mean the box thats says "what to do" when a CD with certain content pops up? I dont know how to stop it without using Tweak XP.

You must have selected "Open folder to view files"?
    Select "Take no action".

Note. You have to do this for each media type.
You also have to fill in the "Select an action to perform" radio box.
