Is it possible to draw up a table and highlight the top 10? You could also have the faster growing hit rate for a current popularity status based on an individuals top ten. Good idea?

Seems like it would be a lot of work for what is (essentially) a popularity contest.

Why don't we have a vote for the person with the most insightful (read: not inciteful) posts?

Perhaps requiring a no self-nomination rule?

    I nominate Rpenner.

By the way; I may have a shot with top 10. I have over 10 with over 1500 - unfortuntaely none of the threads I found interesting.

The number of hits for the first 100 threads is fairer than nominations imo. It could be an interesting project for a particular individual. Only people who nominate themselves with a chance of the top 10 need apply.
That sounds like a reseaonable minimum standard for consideration.

Why not do both; personal nominations AND a hit rate top ten?

It certainly is because then it would include those who looked out of curiosity and decided it was complete rubbish before navigating away rapidly. As opposed to nominations which would only be votes from people who thought the threads were worthwhile.

Views/posts ratio with a minimum number of posts (say 50)?
Excluding the number of posts by the OP of course.
    Not really doable though.. lol

Those people wouldn't make the top 10 though. Only the best threads will continue to get a good score due to the high number of responses and replies. I'm working mine out right now. Look down your top 100 and then average out the score in your mind. Mine is 700, which times 100 equals 70,000. I'm reaching for a calculator right nooow.

98958 for my first hundred. Highest score 12,582. Anyone beat 100,000 hits for their first 100 threads?

Imagine I titled a thread ``I like Pussy'', and then posted this picture:

How long would it take the post to get 100 hits? How long would it take the thread to reach 1000 replies?

If you don't believe me, try it.

Just because a thread is popular doesn't mean that it's the kind of thing we necessarily want to encourage.

    Easily, but who cares..

Edit: Of how many pages did you add up the views, 5? There are 25 threads/page.

How many do reckon you got then? I'd say 150,000 roughly. But we need a time that they've been active from acting as a fair measure. I've only been a member since Sep last year, you've been a member for years! I bet I beat your score by the time I reach that many years!! Yours aren't that special. What's your increase rate?

I don't know, but more than 100,000. If you still got your calculator there you can find out for yourself.

I like that idea. Please do.
I hug my cats lots. And that cat's ear makes it look like the guy has a gap in his teeth. Like that one actress. Only on crack.
