Well people, as i have said many time on post, the magnetic poles are near a reversal point.
the event of magentic pole reversal are exspected to be destructive for the entire world civilaization, and is exspected to occur around the year 2039, or sooner.
the latest estimate determine that the magentic poles are inducted by the earths axis and will collaspe, the exspected speed of the magentic poles drift toward the earths axis is exspected to increase yearly, with great distrubances occuring as the pole get with in 5 degrees of the axis, the present rate of magnetic pole motion twoard the axis is some 18 km a year and has shown a coninued in crease fron 12km, and its previous speed of 15km per year, this rate of increase occurs within increaseing speed every 10 years to 12 years, the next rate of increase is exspect in 2010, when it will next be physically meassured, evenso the rate of motion of the pole will make incremental increases in that ten year period. Nasa has deployed a satitlite that will monitor the poles motion from space over the next several years helping to track the curviture of the poles motion and provide a more accurate clock to time the occurnce of the pole reversal.

parinoia in the scientific community and in polical and milatry circles has prevent wide scale public notice, plainly they are not sure what they can do given the circumstance, and publication will cause wide scale uproar.
in the last two mounths the leaders of several major countries have been given notice, including departments of stragic defences, this list included china, japan, usa, russia, gremany,england.india,sweden. propsal wehere considered for delopyment of space technolgy and other resouces that would provide a edge in the circumstance, china in its recent orbit launch has tested new devices for gathering hydrogen in the upper atomsphere to help prevent radioactive bombarment of solar particles and to provide new reseach into crustal lift. thes devices where and will play a crucial role in develpoing a plan to safe gaurd earth and it human population during the magnetic pole reversals. notice per stragtic and technolcial engineringg department of defnese for china release two days agos.

so well ir does look like we are making progress, and the reality is seeping in, but even with these beging steps it will take a very strong momentum to safe garud life,

so what do you guys plan to do over the next 20 years, of during the polar switch, pretty soon know its going to become public and be on the local news. don't say i did not tell you guys first.

"This is certainly the quickest movement since we started measurements in Greenland in 1928, " says Torsten Neubert, who heads DMI's Solar-Terrestrial Physics Department. Neubert thinks that this acceleration points to a switching of the magnetic poles, perhaps within the next thousand years, something that could have dire consequences. "In the period up to a reversal, the Earth's magnetic field would lose its strength and would no longer be able to protect the Earth from radiation coming from space - we could be exposed to violent cosmic radiation, " says Neubert. Such radiation would affect navigation as well as the production of semiconductors.

However, not all geophysicists are convinced. "I wouldn't say that the northward movement of the magnetic pole is a sign that the field is about to reverse, " says a sceptical Jeremy Bloxham, an Earth and planetary scientist at Harvard University in the US. He thinks that the pole would have to be travelling towards the equator in order to flip. Neubert admits that the case for a switch in the magnetic field is unproven and says that the field is a chaotic system and therefore difficult to predict.

The new Danish Ørsted satellite may make prediction a little easier by looking at the whole of the Earth's magnetic field, rather than just the poles. Due to be launched in the coming weeks, it should give researchers more accurate data on the orientation and strength of the field. Bloxham, however, believes that more accurate data will not point to a reversal. "I think the chances are that it will not happen, " he says. "It's a highly erratic process - there have been intervals of tens of millions of years without reversals." But Neubert is looking forward to a reversal. "It would be an exciting time, " he says. "

    heh, next 50 years...
