i dont understand this, "you play WOW, OMG your a nerd" bullshit!

whats the problem with playing wow and enjoying it, get to be better than drinking every night.

The extremes people go to, is sometimes taken as the norm, e.g, WoW players play for 36 hrs etc, sometime never go out etc. ,thats how the bullshit came about.

Just chiming in with WoW being a lot of fun.

I travel a bunch for work, so my GF and I both play when I'm away. Better than lunging around a hotel room in the middle of nowhere watching crap on TV.

I also belong to a guild founded by my college roommate and some other college friends. Keeps us in touch better than a reunion once a decade.

And also to say that if you get the 3-month game cards, it's only $13/mo, which is about the cost of going to the movies around where I live.

WoW does indeed suck. MMOs are a waste of time and the rules in WoW make the pvp stupid. If you don't mind horrible PS1-style graphics, you can play Shadowbane(which still has the best politics, city building, and pvp of any game I've played) for free...but seriously, MMOs are a huge waste of you life and somewhat addicting, like pain pills.

 

I ding'ed level 51 last night, with the help of my GF and her brother.

end game almost requires that much time investment unfortunately.......which is why I quit....I couldn't keep up with these ppl who were retired or whatever and were online damn near 10 hours a day.........

PvP is somewhat casual but the rules make it suck.......
