Does anybody know if there are any plugins/Addons for Wordpress (or Joomla) that can restrict content with logins to members only. I do not mind paying a lot of money, but I want the Website to be stand alone after using the addon. I do not want to pay a "protection racket" via licensing, frequent paid updates, or forced membership to a maintenance website. I still program mostly old school, and would like to use Wordpress more frequently. I would pay a lot for a plug in that could add and track memberships, but do not want a dependency. It seems like people are doing this, but am I expecting too much, or does this exist already? Middle aged dog seeking new tricks.
