She was on life support for 17 hours, not dead.
Don't you see? Out of the millions of time when people pray for a miracle and nothing happens, this one finally happened, thus there is a god, and he acts once per every million times people ask him to.
A doctor that I work with, said that they had a guy wake up in the morge (sp?). That is creepy, does that mean he was dead and then he systems began working again or was he never dead, but was in a death like state... so much so that he had everyone convinced that he was dead.
So if you pumped blood through a rotting corpse and made it heart go mish-mash, mish-mash on life support, it wouldn't be dead?
So lets say a dead person came into the morgue, and like, the dude working there did things with the body... you know... yeah...... ...... thats rightPlease Register or Log in to view the hidden image! and lets say that the person wasn't really dead, and came back to life. Would the guy be a necrophiliac, or a rapist???

Knowing the legal system today? You'd probably be charged with both.
Roman that would depend on what you classed as dead. Legally you would be beating heart dead (ie BRAIN DEAD with a beating heart). However you wouldnt be clinically dead because your heart was still beating.
As for this women she wasnt brain dead oviously ie there was still brain activity or she wouldnt have been able to keep her heart beating when the life surport was removed. Death only occures when all activity in the brain and brain stem ceases.
Could he remember his name? Did he have scars and tattoos all over his body, and a bobbing skull named 'Morte' as a companion?
I just hate it , when laymen start writing articles in newspapers about medicine :
Here is the original article : the doctor said : it is a miracle because she only had 10 % chance to make it ....... also notice that , there are numerous conditions that can mimic brain death including hypothermia .... and hallelujah .... the doctors had lowered her body temperature .... small wonder they don´t find any signs of brain activity .... and NO the heart did not stop beating for 17 hours .... it stopped 3 times , but it started again every time ....with a little help ....
In other words .... she never died ....her bodily functions only mimicked death .......
A 1 in 10 chance is a miracle these days?
Clearly the God squad have had to lower their expectations somewhat in the hope that one might turn up. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
I've won money on horses with worse odds than that
Yep ... he,he ..
Obviously a 1:10 miracle , just hit Sciforums .......Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!:m:

Hey, I brought the story to the only place where people know everything. Sciforums.
I'm sure, had sputnik been on the job, he could've headed off this bewilderment before it ever got this far.
Btw,I like roman's post. Just because you're taking life support measures doesn't mean they are working.
"Miracles" are for people who don't believe in god.
You'd think that wouldn't you ?
Perhaps that's why those loons in crazy cults like the Southern Baptists like those big televised miracle healing sessions so much - there's something so (for want of a better word) fundamentally insecure and insincere about a cult that feels compelled to beleive in biblical literalism and miracles.
So does your dyslexia also prevent you from clicking the link and reading it?
Roman wether they could detect it or not really doesnt mean anything (although i find that highly suspicious). The fact that she woke up means CLEARLY she wasnt brain dead.
What a wonderfully foregone conclusion.
