I'm serious. A 4.3 in IL? We're used to tornadoes, blizzards, floods etc but not quakes.

I already pray and have no fear. Not of any quake or anything else. This was just weird.

haha crazy huh? you know the largest earthquake on US soil was in saint louis missouri. a succession of 3-5 with over 2000 aftershocks cant remember exactly that would have been along the lines of 8-8.5 on rictor scale, they werent measured because no measuring devices were around yet, it made the mississippi flow backwords for a day..

there is a fault there and its only about 300ft long its the new madrid fault use to be a town on feb 7th 1812 was the quake that made the missisippi flow backwards also consumed the town into the river, a forest turned into a lake and bells were ringing 1300 miles away and the president was awoken by the whitehouse shaking

why not? while no where near as much cali the new madrid in south eastern missuri and the minor fault through the area have caused a fair amount of seismic activity.

Well, the next eruption is something like 40.000 years overdue. And an eruption would be truly catastrophic. We're talking millions of dead and a major impact on global climate (a nuclear winter like).
I'd be afraid if I were you, very afraid..
