I don't think Obama would have wasted his time pursuing something as stupid and as illegal as asking for a personal wire tap. I think that after eight years of the racism he, his wife, and his kids endured, all he wanted was to get the f**k out of that slave-built house. Yeah, he wanted Hillary to win, and he and his wife campaigned for her, but that was the extent of his involvement.

I think it's safe to assume we spy on Russian officials whenever possible.

WTF is wrong with you Bowser?

I absolutely fail to comprehend how you people are unable to see what hath been wrought. Those that were elected are completely delusional and absolutely incapable of finding their way out of a paper bag, let alone leading the country.

That you cannot assimilate this into your worldview just astounds me. Are you really that stupid or just pretending to be so as to avoid accepting any responsibility for the coming apocalypse? And I do not use that word lightly nor did I accidentally say "you people" - it's almost as if you popped in from another planet. This is not a fucking reality TV show, dude.

Jumping Jesus on a Pogo stick...

    Speaking of Clapper:

Several national-security experts have said, however, that Todd's question was specific enough to leave Clapper some wiggle room in his response, which referred only to whether Trump campaign officials had been wiretapped.

Retired Gen. Michael Hayden, who has served as the director of both the National Security Agency and the CIA, said Monday morning that he viewed Clapper's response as a denial that Trump aides were specifically targeted by the FISA warrant — not as a denial that a warrant was granted to surveil foreign actors operating inside the US that might have been communicating with Trump aides.

So by having correspondence with suspicious foreign entities, Trump and his associates may have foolishly left themselves open to a legitimate surveillance operation. Remember what happened to the last pro Trump genius who followed that strategy?

But considering his career as an Army intelligence officer who should have been well aware of how the US carries out foreign intelligence, Flynn had to know that agents monitor calls with the Russian ambassador.

    More from Michael Hayden:

“It looks as if the president just for a moment forgot that he was president,” Hayden said on Fox News on Monday. “Why didn’t he simply use the powers of the presidency to ask the acting director of national intelligence, the head of the FBI, to confirm or deny the story he apparently read from Breitbart the evening before?”

So why didn’t President Shit for Brains simply ask his subordinates for the relevant information concerning his suspicions? Can’t trust them? They’re all out to get him?

Because like a lot of ordinary folk he has a psychopathic penchant for the "power" that a twitter account with millions of followers seems to grant him... perhaps?

The world we live in has never been so connected and Trump is falling for the twitter syndrome, especially at night when his paranoia keeps him awake...

He clearly has access to all pertinent information. He's the president, isn't he?

he has access but apparently is reluctant to make use of it... duh! Obviously!
After all why would he...when he thinks there is a CIA agent hiding under his bed... out to get him...

well what do you think happens when you know you have shat in someones face and failed to see how much you depended on their support?
To go in to the presidency without the support of your prime institutions due to stupid commentary and paranoia is a nightmare waiting to be revealed.

Trump went to enormous lengths to alienate the Intelligence services... not just one of them but all of them.. It is obvious why he is unable to make use of their services now. This is one of the key reasons for him being declared unfit for office... IMO The fact that he can not work with his own government...

Hey Bowser... just to prove me right, why don't you pick a nasty with sciforums admin and see what that gets you... perhaps then you will realize an answer to your question...
Trump's attitude 'tis called "shooting yourself in the foot" ~ big time

The ability to function as a president is entirely dependent on the institutions that support the presidency...now why he didn't now this before he opened his big mouth we shall never know...

A leader only leads with the support of his followers other wise he is no leader at all...

If his followers are mainly "deplorable" then it figures that his leadership would be likewise... deplorable!

There is a big problem with this sort of media...
One has to consider the first premise as fact to grant any credence to anything that follows...all I see is a ranting middle aged, angry man quoting sources that are not able to be verified by the viewer...

By the way, this is the same Mark Levin that called executive orders "unconstitutional". If Trump is trying to get ahead of his Russia problem, it's not going to work.

    He doesn't have a clue..

He made the claims after reading Breitbart and now demands that everyone proves his claims..

When Trump ran into Christopher Ruddy on the golf course and later at dinner Saturday, he vented to his friend. “This will be investigated,” Ruddy recalled Trump telling him. “It will all come out. I will be proven right.”

He is not able to prove anything, or provide what he has to prove his claims. The White House are attempting to distance themselves from it and are foisting it onto Congress, who have openly said they have no idea what he is on about and requested he explain himself and provide evidence to support his claims.

Either he is lying and made false statements that are damaging to another person in the worst way possible, which just makes him a raving lunatic conspiracy theorist and a clear danger as President, or the intelligence agencies did obtain a warrant for surveillance, which means he was up to crap that was dodgy enough for a federal court to issue said warrant, which makes him a clear danger to the Presidency...

Sure, you think it's great and you are quoting Mark Levin, but he has proven himself to be a conspiracy theory nutbag in the past.. It's like the blind leading the blind on a cliff edge.. They have no proof and the intelligence agencies who would have done this have come out and said it is wrong and false.

The kicker is the White House is now indicating that they may not accept the result of the investigation by Congress..

The White House on Monday again declined to substantiate President Donald Trump’s explosive allegation over the weekend that former President Barack Obama wiretapped his communications at Trump Tower, maintaining repeatedly that Congress ought to investigate whether it had indeed happened.

But now the White House won’t even say whether it will accept the conclusion of the congressional investigation Trump has called for ― suggesting its initial statement calling for an inquiry is little more than a rhetorical runaround.

“We definitely will have a lot of respect for what they do and look into, but to blanketly accept [the result of the investigation] might be a bit premature,” White House press secretary Sean Spicer said during an off-camera briefing at the White House.

During the Monday briefing with reporters, Spicer sidestepped thorny questions as to whether the administration believes the FBI committed a crime by surveilling a private U.S. citizen, and, separately, whether the administration believes the government had reason to wiretap Trump Tower due to potential communications between Trump campaign officials and agents of a foreign power as laid out by the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court.

Spicer also declined to answer a question about whether the president believes Obama personally ordered the wiretap on Trump Tower, as he claimed on Saturday.

“As the president noted, we’re going to let Congress look into that,” he said, adding he was not aware whether the two men have talked since Trump’s inauguration
    .

So if they say that there is no evidence that Obama wiretapped Trump's phone, the investigation by Congress is bad and phony and will be ignored?

You have a President who's watching conspiracy theory websites and then taking what they say as fact and making false statements. At the moment, the Democrats can just sit back and watch as it all crumbles down around his ankles and that of the Republicans, because this is a disaster for them.

They have absolutely no proof. All they have is a raving lunatic who tweets random bullshit and then demands everyone else prove it, then as he is known for, declares it's all a conspiracy against him and that he is right. This is his new birther movement. He had to admit he was full of shit with the birther rants after years of it. Now, his hatred of Obama is just leading him to create and manufacture yet another conspiracy..

    Still? . . . . . . what a crock of BS . . . . . . Trump WON . . . . . Hillary DID NOT WIN!! . . . . . get used to it, Snowflakes!! You have the next four years to figure-out why Hillary (and ergo, you) lost and try to then pick a more formidable counter-candidate.
