Why do we give in ?
Is it because we lack faith in God/Allah/<insert deity here> ?
Why are we tempted ? Is it because it makes us feel good ? Is that ALL ?

If you do something dark or evil it's probably because you either don't realize it's dark or evil or because you think you can get away with it.

About getting what you want probably, selfishness..
I don't believe anyone is evil for the sole purpose of being evil.

that is a meaningless answer but true. It seems like it, but there should be a deeper motivation for it though .

I don't think there has to be a deeper motivation.
You see what you want or want to do and get/do it, regardless of the consequences for others.
Now either this is done in ignorance of those consequences or because you think you can get away with them.

Depends on what you consider "evil" because in many instances one mans

    evil is another mans good!

So the only way to stop yourself from doing things(evil) is to get caught ?
If thats the case why do we have repeat offenders ? Or is that a case of ignorance again ?

    Not to mention Peer Pressure.

Just in case anyone was wondering, I haven't done anything wrong, unless you think watching the matrix revolutions is wrong. "Why? Mr Anderson, Why do you persist ?"
