Why was the Offensive Jokes thread in the Cesspool shut?

Well, I'm sorry if my thread and it's participants upset someone in 'power'.
If it was so bad, why did it take nearly three years to get shut down?

Look, I don't want to start an argument- it's not worth it- I just hate to think a popular and funny thread was closed because one person found it offensive and used their authoritahhh to shut it down.

If I've read it wrong then I apologise.
If, however, I'm reading it right and this is what happened, then shame on you. Free thinking forum?

That's the way things are done in the world. Some minority is "offended" and things are shut down, and screw the majority.

Think about it. Dave was in charge for a long time. Obviously Dave, James R, and goofyfish KNEW the thread existed. There should be no doubt about it. So, what changed? New admins. It's clear to me an admin ended the thread.

Edit: Seems I am right, Plazma admitted it.

"Free thought" is obviously a misnomer for the discussion area you see at the top of the page here, because a person who had violated no written rule was banned for thirty days by James R for some jokes that James didn't like. I guess freedom isn't free.

 

How interesting...
Perhaps the 'bosses' should post exactly what they do and don't like. Favourite colour, most hated member of Westlife, swear words that make them cry, etc.. This will prevent any furthur admins getting all upset.
Last thing I'd wanna do is upset someone...

If you are that annoyed by racist slurs then ban the users making the racists slurs, not take the pleasure away from the other users.

 

It's hardly racist, virtually all jokes poke fun at someone even if it's just the comic, so what? No humour lest we offend someone? What a boring world that would be, we'd be left with sarcasm and slapstick.
