    Hi I am new<

    Why is the universe asymmetric?

At the moment of the big bang or the creation event; there was an equality of matter and antimatter. This Matter and antimatter, should eliminated each other leaving the universe a raging pool of the fundamental Energy namely; Gamma rays

Lucky this did not happen and the huge amount of matter made it possible for stars to be born

CP violation in the weak force means there's a very very very slight preference for certain types of particles than others when the weak force mediates a decay. The precise reason to the amounts involved is still an open question. If you're looking for something to google I suggest 'leptogenesis' and 'baryogenesis'.
