    @ Prometheus,
You did change the meaning, but aside from that you also censored the entire thread....

    http://www.sciforums.com/showthread.php?t=111280

by moving it to the Cesspool.

Deciding what topics are allowed in a forum is censoring. Do you live in a free country? Maybe what they teach us is censorship is different in your country?

James R moved it out of the Cesspool and back into science.

In my country deleting a topic you are uncomfortable with is called "censorship".

Which makes my point stronger. Then I showed who the real liar was. I do not come on to this website to poke fun at your obvious misconception over our language (i,e, censorship). So look it up before continuing this argument.

    Try this link....
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Censorship

    @ Prometheus,
Maybe you can remember this post.

You did delete posts. It did alter the meaning. You admit to deleting posts. That is censorship.

So who is the Filthy Liar?
I don't condone name calling, but I am responding to someone with obvious anger or language issues.

Sciforums is not a free country - when you signed up to post here you agreed to the site rules which, the last time I looked, don't include provision for unlimited free speech. What you are describing is a common moderator action to keep threads in the science subforums on topic. Another link here (James R again)

Also, I find it particularly amusing that you try to claim I don't understand censorship and that you live in a free country etc etc. If you did have any true knowledge of censorship you'd know that the vast majority of countries, including the one you live in, have laws enforcing censorship. For example, if you tried to advocate genocide or hatred against any identifiable group you could be prosecuted and spend up to 14 years in prison.

I accept I deleted posts. I do not accept that I changed the meaning of anyone's post (essentially, misters posts were meaning free). In retrospect I would have handled the situation differently (I would have move the thread to pseudoscience rather than the cesspool). I don't think the thread belongs in general science, but I am not a moderator of that forum and James R put it there which is his prerogative. I afraid that if you don't like that then tough.

Think what you like, but I think you're projecting. After that sentence your "happy holidays" sentiment reads with as much sarcasm as I've ever seen in text.

    @ Prometheus,

    I think it's possible

    http://www.sciforums.com/showthread.php?t=111622

post # 2 was written with much more sarcasm.
(in link provided. I put "Happy Holidays" in quotes as I was quoting this post)

    @ Prometheus,

So now you have changed your argument to say censorship is allowed here as opposed to denying you practice it. So does this "change of stance" mean it was you who was in the wrong and obviously lying (filthy liar)? If the shoe fits.

There is no free speech on this forum. We all, including Prom and myself, post at the consent of the owner. The owner pays the bills and we use their service. Just as a newspaper jin countries with freedom of speech is under no obligation to print every letter sent to it SciForums is not required to allow all posts to remain on the forum. Mister has been disruptive. He has now promised to return and cause havoc for Prom and I. Should we allow him to or should we be able to remove some posts. Yes, you can argue that ANY restriction on anyone here is a form of censorship but most would accept that as hyperbole. Some measure of order is needed for the site to function just as my right to swing my arm stopping at your nose is needed to maintain a functioning society.

Moderators maintain order by editing, moving and even deleting posts. Happens all the time. If done quickly and efficiently you don't even realise we are doing it, just as many of the services our lives include are almost invisible to us until a problem occurs (power going out for instance).

If you think any deleting or editing of posts is censorship then i can only assume you live a very sheltered life and have.an unrealistic view of how the world really works. As for on these forums every single moderator edits, moves and deleted posts on a regular basis. If you think this is too repressive then start your own forum without any moderators. It'll be trolled to death by spammers and griefers before you can blink.

    @ Alphanumeric,

You completely missed the point. However...

Deleting posts that have valid content.
Note: the thread in question was put in cesspool by Prometheus in post #5, and Post # 6 was James R putting the post out of the cesspool and into gen science.

is bad moderation. This thread is getting repetitive, so I will start copying and pasting my previous responses to posts.

Originally I disliked the censorship, but Prometheus has kept dragging this out and calling me names etc. I will happily continue to show his lies, rudeness, and censoring for what it is.

apparently now I am projecting? I guess I feel I am a horrid/rude moderater with temper and language issues.

I am unsure how projection can fit here, but i did emphasize language barrier problems. Maybe that is the problem here.

I have never denied censoring mister, in that I deleted some of his posts. I do deny that I changed the meaning of his postings.

If I may - the long and short of it at this point is, Mister/Reiku is gone for good thanks to his pandering, sock-puppeteering, and threats made against the board in general... so perhaps we can all just drop this and move on like gentlemen, hmm?

When you reply to something I've said to [prom] or [cpt bork] please keep your posts at a minimum. Big walls of words put me off!

So I'll do this bit by bit, comment by comment if you like.

''Wasted? Cpt is a professional physicist with some serious financial backing for his research (practical quantum experiments can use equipments easily running into the millions of dollars!). How is that a waste? He's doing what you keep saying you're going to do, gaining a doctorate and being paid to do what he loves, physics.''

Yes, it is easy to say someone wastes their lives without all the facts. Similar to the techniques you use alphanumeric, even with me.

''There people easily to fool are yourself and ignorant people. I could just make up nonsense and provided I throw in some buzzwords people unfamiliar with physics will think I'm saying meaningful stuff.''

I don't lie to my friends, I never tell them things about physics which is disohonest.

Talking about disohonesty, I think it would make an honest person of yourself AN to remove that horrible comment (in my broken off physics page on the gauge fields) that I am a plagiarist. I've proven now that I am no such thing.

    Will you do that?
After all, that would be the HONEST thing to do.

You know, that principle of honesty you often like to try lecture people here on. But then what is good for the goose is good for the gander I'd reckon.

I think Kwilborn has shown that statement to be demonstratably false. As he has stated, I have tended in the past to make 4 or 5 posts just to get a point across.

If you delete 1 or more of these posts, you may make my entire message incomprehensible,

AS YOU DID. Thus you have indeed changed the meaning of said post.

Mister (Reiku), you have been allowed back on this forum as a gesture of goodwill.

Is this really the way you wish to carry on now?

You are fully aware of the conditions of your return. As are the rest of us in the backroom. I can assure you, it is not to your benefit to act this way, especially if you are seen to be going out of your way to openly engage the very moderators you repeatedly complained about before your previous ban. When combined with the conditions of your return, well, I would strongly advise you to cease and desist.

You are in absolutely no position to be making any demands at present.

My conditions where not part of not engaging in government topics, especially my own bell.

Please don't try and make it out that this was part and parcel of me returning. But I will say, I hope it was not entirely just ''good will''. Afterall, I have been subject to some bad behaviour myself from certain moderators, such as being called a plagiarist, then having certain posts censored by prom.

I am not completely to blame here. I am back and I will keep to my terms of agreement though.

Though no doubt, it will be simply a matter of time before some moderator finds some reason to banish me again. No matter how irrelevant the case is. That's what certain mods here do to me.

Oh, if I have been accused of plagiarism --- and all posts containing those accusations have been proven false, why am I in no place to argue for them to be removed?

How would you feel if you had been accused of something similar, please, put the shoe on the other foot BELLS.

After all, it is a very serious accusation.

Reiku, I am not aware of whatever problem you have (or had) on this forum. I am only aware of the conditions of your return and of your behaviour that I have noticed personally when you start threads in here.

You appear to have an issue with some of this site's moderators. The correct way to deal with said complaints is not to spam threads, but to actually PM the administrators of this site with links to back up your claims. I am going to refer you to the rules of this site and highlight a part that is particularly applicable to you, especially at present:

"Complaints about individual moderators should be directed to administrators using Personal Messaging. Do not post them in the public forums."

Seeing that you are essentially on probation, repeating the same type of behaviour that got you banned in the first place is probably not the best way to go about any of this.

So, take it from me, as a moderator and as someone who is kind of over reading about this over and over again and who has been wrongly and falsely accused of things such as posing a threat to someone's wife and children to supporting violence against women, PM James with your complaint and requests. Do not spam threads with it. If you persist in doing so, then yes, you may find yourself facing moderation.

    No, correction.

they have had an issue with me, which is reflection of why such topics have been posted in the first place.

Personally I couldn't care less if AN and prom went about their daily moderating buisiness' here, just so long as they left me alone in the future!

So you want them to leave you alone but you deliberately seek them out?

Mister, take your issues to PM to James.

I'm not, I only gave the facts because you see these last posts as ''pushing my luck''

Essentially, I am not complaining about a moderator, I am complaining why all plagiarism threads about me have not been corrected accordingly. They are horrible accusations. Totally horrid.
