The remark is is a deliberately illustrative example of the point cosmic traveller is making and thus is a statement in complete agreement with CT. The irony of the statement is conveyed with the particular smilie that is used.
The absence of a smilie from CTs otherwise sound reply suggests that he may in fact be a dumbass.

I find it entertaining that the people who disagree with Sam all call her intellectually dishonest, while those who generally agree with her thinks she's great. I declare her crunchy and good with milk!

 

You can generally narrow down the usual suspects to older than 50, right wing conservative, hate paying taxes or welfare and do not care to get an education [though some may possess a degree]. The hate paying taxes is the winner

i actually have a friend who is almost exactly like you when he argues.someone was listening to us argue the other day and he said to my friend "are you stoned?".thats how i feel when im arguing with you,you'd have to be high to actually believe half of what you are saying and as that isnt the case i think you are doing it because
1.you think its funny
2.you like antagonizing people
3.you think in some way you are making people think from a different perspective.
