I don't think it's too unfortunate a thing to say at all: I certainly hope that I'm remembered for more than my choice of work! Don't you hope for the same? Or is your work the only thing you want to be remembered for?
There are many worse things one can be than a porn star. Just a couple: A soldier who goes around killing people. A priest who teaches people that gods and heaven and hell are real.
Now you're talking. Or how about selling bogus mortgage-backed securities, polluting the gulf or selling toys with lead-based paint. Oh: and teaching that the earth is 6,000 years old, that Adam and Eve were the first humans, and that all life was once wiped out by a global flood.
I disagree with you. I know plenty of people with large world views and they have no problems setting boundaries in their lives. I for one am very conservative in how I conduct my life. But I don't judge others for making decisions they feel is right for them even if I disagree or would have chosen differently. To each his own does not mean to everyone anarchy.
Quick question. What level or type of porn are we really talking about? Hard core, soft, internet, etc... I have heard soft porn isn't to bad to some people.
Then again, there are those that feel hard core isn't a bad thing either... I know several people that check out porn,and see nothing wrong with it... Of course, they would be devestated if THEIR daughter was ever involved in the business.
Maybe, but kids sometimes follow in the footsteps of their parents. Do you think parents in the porn business wouldn't want their kids to follow in their footsteps?
I can only speculate here... But, I'd guess that more often than not, they would have their objections to it...Of course this doesn't mean they wouldn't still get into the biz.
What do you think the number one reason is, that attracts people into that business? I remember reading a Q & A with Ron Jeramey, and when he was asked why, he said he really liked to fuck and he wanted to fuck as many beautiful women as possible. He then asked is it wrong to make money doing something you really want to do? Despite what his parents and family want. Should he not go into the business because of what they want?
Well, I think there are several diff. reasons why people get into porn... I also think men and women do it for diff. reasons as well. (not always of course). Men don't get paid nearly as much as females. (there are a few exceptions though, like Ron Jeremy.) For a man, it's more of an ego trip. And females, more of a money issue. And then, there's the attention they get. Many never felt loved, and somehow they do, even if it's for just a few moments. As far as what the family wants...How many of us wind up doing what our parents would have us do?

I don't know why people work as pornstars. Some of them volunteer and some are forced. Anyway, on a not so funny sidenote..a French tv-team visisted me last week to make a little portrait ( will be shown next year in feb or march) and they wanted to film me when I walked out from my house. The thing is, there's always a group of teenage boys sitting outside and usually they keep calm and don't say anything to me, but now they got all worked up and started shouting anything they could come up with, like: - Why are they filming you? Are you a pornstar!? I wish I had a more witty comment than: - No, but maybe you should become one. Well, I told the tv-guys to punch them on the way out later, and I haven't seen them since.
