    Certainly as far as his regime is concerned, Saddam was pretty bad right from the start.

    That he was a bastard was irrelevant so long as he was our (the united states) bastard. His use of chemical weapons was no concern of ours (along with many other atrocities), until convenient for justifications for a much later invasion. His chief crime seems to have been to stop following orders from Washington. Or maybe simply that he was of more utility as an enemy than an ally by 1990.

    defferently about oil, if u.s.a really did it to help people, first, how does it help people, by killing them, second, there are more contries, in africa, that really need help,

    First by removing Saddam.

    Something tells me Shadow1 if your own government tried to gas you with Sarin nerve gas and wiped out your entire city. You may feel a tad oppressed.

    There is US troops in Africa and also no one wants another Somlian incident on their hands.
