Joseph Goebbels: born 1897 - 1945 was a Reich Minister of Public Enlightenment and Propaganda
    He was anti-socialist, anti-Jewish...

He also orchestrated the burning of the books.

When he commited suicide, he told his wife Magda to kill their six children, which she did.

Adolph Hitler: born 1889-1945 was a Fuhrer of the Third Reich.

The following is a picture of Hitler with Goebbels...he was later deleted as ordered by Hitler from the picture.

    Why?

    Thanks.
Perhaps the photographer took multiple shots from slightly varying angles.

For better or worse, Goebbels was the only high level Nazi loyal to Hitler to the very end. All the others were busy trying to save their own skins.

True. Goebbels never fell out of favour with Hitler & he remained devoted to him to the very end.
The reason for the removal of him from the photo was the Nazi promotion of the family unit.
Goebbels had six children with his wife Magda & were promoted as the perfect family unit by the Nazis, but like many men in power, Goebbels, despite his rather repulsive appearance was a notorious womaniser.

To the left of Hitler in the photograph is the legendary female film maker Leni Riefenstahl.

There were rumours that Goebbels was having an affair with her & that is the reason he was painted out of the photograph.
Having Goebbels & Riefenstahl in the same photograph would have strengthened the rumours about the supposed relationship.

The Propaganda Ministry manufactured the news to suit whatever its purpose of the moment was. It's not surprising that it would also manufacture images for one purpose or another.

It's like asking why an artist painted a particular painting. It's just what he does.

Have you been thinking about that since 2009?
That's nearly as long as the war lasted.
