Why are we so scared of offending Muslims?

As suspected, your trying to make light of the violence of your religion, the most dangerous belief system on the planet.

I hope we never get visitors from other worlds while religion continues to delude the masses.

They're sure to put a warning to avoid Earth in their version of "Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy."

I've seen several Bibles desecrated in public - there's a guy named Jim Wallis who makes a regular thing out of it. He doesn't need bodyguards, AFAIK.

Back in the day, rock bands used to destroy hotel rooms - desecrating the Gideon Bible found in them was a common part of the deal. I don't recall any special prosecution on that count.

I am very wary of fundies, and I agree with those who regard Palin as a menace as well as a joke, but there is nothing in the modern Christian world that compares with the Muslim cartoon riots, events of that nature.
