Why are sunspots black?

    I'm not sure if you're dishonest or really stupid.
    I asked you for a source for your claim that "sunspots don't show in infrared".
    My links clearly show that they do, so what makes you think that your "reply" here helps your case?

    Sun spots are not dark. They give off light. The reason they look dark is because the light for the pictures you see goes through a VERY dark filter. There is less light coming from the sunspots so when the filter removes a significant percentage of the light from the sun almost all of the light from the sunspot is filtered out.
