Why Americans cannot discipline their children

That's right Romans have the same problem as all other civilizations had, the idea of infinite scientific, economical, technological progress, this is utopia, now the big problem is that we have one huge planet-level civilization with ever-increasing complexity..., I suggest you watch full documentary "Surviving progress".
However, tell that to Billvon he says that no civilization has collapsed to this day..., what can I say...

There hasn't been a single socialist with great political power in the US for many years now. The sociopathic demagogues with power are authoritarian capitalists, overwhelmingly.

Meanwhile, we have the spectacle of people seriously arguing that Americans don't hit their kids enough. These people need to spend more time among actual Americans with kids, methinks.

btw: there is a great difference between the powerful and parental hitting for discipline, and fellow members of one's society hitting in reaction to attack of some kind. It's possible that kids these days don't get enough violent feedback from their actions, at the same time as they get hit too much for "discipline".

In my general area, the youthful wilding increased dramatically from the mid 50s into the mid 90s, peaked about 15-20 years ago, and has been declining since - noticeably declining of late. This tracks not parenting styles, but lead exposure from gasoline during gestation and childhood.
