Which science fiction leader would you follow into battle and why ? Could it be ? William Adama ? Kara Thrace ? Laura Roslin? Luke Skywalker ? Yoda ? Han Solo ? Paul Atriedes ? Jean Luc Picard ? James Kirk? Kathryn Janeway? It's a toss up between William Adama and Kara Thrace.. Thrace is much more suicidal, Adama is more considerate.
picard or yoda, they both exert the feeling that no matter what you are going to get out of it. Same with macePlease Register or Log in to view the hidden image! (Samual L Jackson rocksPlease Register or Log in to view the hidden image!)
on that, there is also the point that nither of them would fight without a dam good reason unlike SOME leaders we have (not mentioning any namesPlease Register or Log in to view the hidden image!)
Picard is way too conservative, for me. Adama FTW. He's like Picard (with the wiseness), but he can still kick ass.. better than Luke or Han.. Compared to him, they were pussies.
No, They didn't.. All we know is that she disappears for some unknown reason or is some supernatural force.. Adama's son, however, I don't think I could follow into battle.. Doesn't have the spirit.
I'm having trouble remembering who disappeared on the real Earth while talking to Adama. Was that Kara ?
I wouldn't follow anyone into battle that couldn't avoid the battle to start with. If the only recourse is doing battle then the person in charge isn't a very good negotiator or compromiser.
Then my friend, Jean Luc Picard, and Benjamin Sisko is your man. Or, maybe you would prefer Yoda too ?
The greatest general is the one who avoids battles, not provokes them! Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
micheal valentine smith. he is a human raised by martians in stranger in a strangeland and he can make shit just disappear.
John Crighton from farscape. A Human who can make a massive black hole appear, destroy entire fleets of Peacekeepers and Scarrans and stop it as easily. He is quit a interresting character. He will do anything to keep his crew save. He's one of those 'never leave a man behind' kind of guy. accept once with Ka D'argo.
The Daleks and the Triffids (John Wyndham) because I approve of their mission. The Annareans (The dispossessed, Ursula K. Le Guin) --they have no "leaders"--because I approve of their mission. Blood (A Boy and His Dog, portrayed by Tiger from The Brady Bunch) because he is wise beyond his years and he likes popcorn.
