Ahh yes, another great one. I'm surprised no one has said that yet. What do you like about him and his teachings? OOHH! I also like Dostoevsky, if one considers him a philosopher.
nah, the dude is a writer. otherwise every writer is a philosopher. What I liked about Gautama is adaptability to everything in life/people/animals/plants in a good natured manner.
I never did like Dostoevsky, too much grotesque sorrow...and outcomes are grim too. Not a way to look at life. I need excitement, happiness, and true love in air as an outcome.
Yeah but he writes stories that are of a very philosophical nature, and address philosophical issues.
that is kind of cool basically means the "instinctive" can do no wrong; they follow the laws naturally.
Enmos we all need teachers to realize ourselves. A baby we were all and taught by everything around us to form our philosophical concepts of everything.
but a person alone always cannot think for him/herself. Lets say you were isolated in a room from day of the birth until very old age...were fed when you were asleep...the room had nothing in it, excrements removed without you knowing of it. What than? Enmos?
without others in past or current...yes I cannot. Oh wait...that does not include robots/machines/computers which teach... actually I am probably wrong...
that is the ignorance of religious teachings it is like baptizing a child for sins just after birth; why not baptize on the death bed? But to believe that mankind cannot think, is why religions rule the world! it would be like living within a religious belief, that someone else runs your life. and that is not from God, but the corruption of religious imposition taught within the corruption of religious interpretations Meaning; God promised equality to all mankind; not that some preachers is going to tell us what to believe. So to Love God, then know you are equal and can think and are responsible for your actions. Otherwise... followers will fall while the truth seekers will live!
Why should I have a problem ? I was just surprised at you seeming surprised at SAM's quote, as if you never thought of that before.
