In the 60's, I loved Cream and Jimi Hendrix, Led Zep, Ten Years After and Taste. In the 70's it was undoubtedly Weather Report. I used to really worry about what I would listen to after they broke up. In the 80's it was Pat Metheny.. the man is sooo good and so enigmatic, he treads a strange space between cutting edge modern jazz that stretches to weird and abstract concept music and something approaching bland elevator muzak, but still manages to make it listenable. After the 90's, I lost interest in individual bands and muso's, prefering to produce my own music.
