Squee is also very good. It's just that you can't swing a dead cat around here without hitting a mall goth wearing Jhonen vasquez merchandise.

Actually, you probably could. I think the mall goths have moved on to salad fingers, further proving my hypothesis that Hot Topic is the Antichrist.

In Latvia the only people I've met who know about JTHM are those I've lent my comic books.

Well, if you have to ask, then I guess you don't understand what I'm talking about. I thought it obvious, as an official member of the administration, to include some of that aloofness you all do so well in public into something just as impressive—back room diplomacy. It would have been professional.

Well, locking a thread is a form of criticism in itself. And I don't think the thread was about criticizing the topic per se but discussing it. As to receiving complaints, and you admitting that personal message warnings are emasculate, why side with the emasculated? People who complain usually make sure they are heard, but people who see no reason to complain are typically silent. But that doesn't mean everyone wanted the thread closed. Anyway, to wish such a thing and having to do so behind one's back is, in my opinion, miserly, which, I suppose, must be another emasculating trait.

That is your personal point of view as a fellow member—it shouldn't be as moderator. Besides, Sciforums 2007 rarely stays on topic for too long on anything. Haven't you noticed? Nonetheless, we're dealing with words and concepts and passions and feedback—dynamic content. And we're also dealing with human nature and idiosyncrasies and maneuvers and transitions. Things are bound to fluctuate. And another thing that's interesting: how can, when can, can things resume, change, grow? I mean, there's a difference between weed-pulling and tree chopping—that thread was well beyond the weed stage.

Good compromise, I suppose. No problem, I guess. Thanks for replying to my, um, trolling—isn't that correct, Stryder?

Nah I think its just that SAM lets you parade around as SockPuppet
whenever you want, then defends your actions.

That was an extremely difficult choice between Stryder and SAM..and a decision so difficult that it took me a whole 2 seconds to decide that SAM wins...by a nose...a big nose!

I honestly believe—after Xev and Banshee (sp?) ended their careers as moderators—that the only great moderators are the guys here. Kudos, guys.
