You know how BillyT is always talking about the fate of Joe American?

I believe I found him, the typical average American characteristics all rolled into one person.

    http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=egVbEqN0yQI

    1. Uneducated...barely able to even speak english.
    2. Maxed out a dozen credit cards.
    3. Doesnt even want a real productive job.
    4. Spends all day with drugs and porn.

Nevertheless, as repulsive as it sounds, he does occasionally come out with something brilliant.

Well he does make some interesting points. There are many ILLEGAL immigrants in America taking advantage of the system, that's a fact.

He does make some good points and this is one of them. I dont want the feds bailing out anyone, but IF they do they might as well go DIRECT.

Because money doesnt 'trickle down' like politicians believe.

Obama's job creation package could only have been conceived by someone who's never had a real job.

Now if theres anything thats going to function as the TRIGGER for violent social unrest and revolt its going to be State governments issuing IOUs instead of welfare checks.

Lo and behold its already under serious consideration in California, which is officially broke as of this coming Feb. 1 2009.

    http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=87175

The state of California has run out of money.

Facing a $42 billion budget deficit, State Controller John Chiang told the Sacramento Bee he has already borrowed $21.5 billion to try to cover the state's checks, but by Feb. 1, there will be no more options left but to simply stop paying some of the bills – including tax refunds, welfare checks, student grants and other payments owned to California citizens.

"It pains me to pull this trigger," Chiang said at a news conference held in his office. "But it is an action that is critically necessary."

Federal law requires that many school and healthcare programs – a total of about $6.6 billion in California – must be paid, the Los Angeles Times reports, so Chiang has announced an expected payment freeze on $3.7 billion worth of the state's bills, most of it refunds owed to taxpayers.

But even with the freeze beginning next week, the Times reports, California will still fall $346 million short for the month of February, forcing Chiang to consider something only done once since the Great Depression: issuing IOUs.

Oh and another thing...the details of Obama's stimulus package for Joe American turns out to be anything but a job creation initiative.

Mostly what we have here is a grab bag of democrat social spending:

    http://online.wsj.com/article/SB123310466514522309.html

"Never let a serious crisis go to waste. What I mean by that is it's an opportunity to do things you couldn't do before."

So said White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel in November, and Democrats in Congress are certainly taking his advice to heart. The 647-page, $825 billion House legislation is being sold as an economic "stimulus," but now that Democrats have finally released the details we understand Rahm's point much better. This is a political wonder that manages to spend money on just about every pent-up Democratic proposal of the last 40 years.

We've looked it over, and even we can't quite believe it. There's $1 billion for Amtrak, the federal railroad that hasn't turned a profit in 40 years; $2 billion for child-care subsidies; $50 million for that great engine of job creation, the National Endowment for the Arts; $400 million for global-warming research and another $2.4 billion for carbon-capture demonstration projects. There's even $650 million on top of the billions already doled out to pay for digital TV conversion coupons.

In selling the plan, President Obama has said this bill will make "dramatic investments to revive our flagging economy." Well, you be the judge. Some $30 billion, or less than 5% of the spending in the bill, is for fixing bridges or other highway projects. There's another $40 billion for broadband and electric grid development, airports and clean water projects that are arguably worthwhile priorities.

Add the roughly $20 billion for business tax cuts, and by our estimate only $90 billion out of $825 billion, or about 12 cents of every $1, is for something that can plausibly be considered a growth stimulus.
