I think I should trademark the word "is".

I really hope some judge rules against the NFL and fines the NFL for this crap they tried to pull. That sort of behavior should be discouraged. I should not be allowed to trademark the word "is" and the NFL should not be allowed to trademark "who dat" and WR Grace should not have been allowed to patent long established uses of the Neem tree.

The NFL did not create the phrase "who dat" or even create the football related usage of the phrase "who dat".

In my opinion people and corporations should not be able to trademark, copyright or patent work that they did not create. Can anybody come up with a situation in which people or a corporation should be allowed to be granted ownership rights over other peoples creations if the original creators failed to seek protection of their creators rights?
